We visited on a Friday night. It was up and down for being busy. The staff was friendly and talkative. Shelby was the best. The other customers were nice and easy to talk to. The drinks were good. It was the best bar that we went to that night and one of the best bars downtown. We went back here again and it still does not disappoint!
The girl Brooke has been one of my favorite bartenders I’ve ever had. She makes the drinks well and can hold a conversation unlike some other bartenders here. The place is a great experience all around. Just awesome service compared to other Des Moines bars by far, and I drink a lot so that says something!
This is the greatest experience I’ve ever had in my life and that is purely due to Brooke. She reminded what it was like to be happy which is something I haven’t felt in years. I love her so much and because of that… I love this bar!
If you Luv Mules you will Love the Copper Cup! Great mixed crowd and music. They bartenders are Fabulous and I highly recommend the Trix Loop Mule.

It's been one of my favorite places to drink in Des Moines over the last few years. The bartenders here are excellent. The crowd varies depending on the day and time, but it's a great spot where lots of locals hang out.
Didn't really vibe with this place. We went there on a Monday night and it was pretty low key, what we were looking for. The bartender turned the music on way too loud, seemed overkill for 8pm. Then we ordered a drink and he didn't have all the ingredients, which is 100% understandable for a Monday. But he charged us full price for it anyway. The bartender was very accommodating and nice though.
Terrible service, bar owner was super rude! Also a bunch of low life people were at this bar! People in the restroom doing coke! Security guard seem like he was high, not knowing what was going on! Their online profile on google is not even good at all, they don’t even have a good website! Overall I would not recommend since it seems that they don’t even care about their customers!
Among the rudest and most unprofessional bartenders I have come across. In particular, a bartender named Shanda does not treat all patrons equally; she discriminates. Also, this individual banned me from this establishment because I did not leave her a tip for a couple of drinks. I did not leave her a tip for her exceptionally bad service. The owner of this establishment should take note of this review and hire a manager that is professional, mature, and who provides good customer service.
Good drinks. Weird vibe though, with arcade games and cramped spaces. Also the shelf of personal liquor bottles was interesting...
