Story

The Common is a gastro-lounge where typical pub and comfort foods are elevated to refined dining heights. Chef Jesse Morrison-Gauthier’s scratch kitchen offers seasonal menus with an emphasis on creativity and quality. Our dynamic culinary scene spotlights monthly pop-up restaurants and themed dining specials featuring guest chefs and Chef Morrison himself.

We offer a fine selection of craft, Unibroue, local and imported beers as well as an innovative mix of herbal, vintage and modern cocktails, spirits and wines.

Set in a lounge style space with a vintage meets modern décor; our aim is to create a community based upon experiencing new food, music and culture in Edmonton. The multifaceted venue features an eclectic mix of electronic, indie, funk, hip hop, soul, classics and live music from local and worldwide artists.

Perfect for lunch, dinner, corporate functions (private bookings available), an after work drink, or a late night out- the Common is the place to come together.

Open Monday through Thursday 11:30am - late. Fridays 11:30am - 2am / Saturdays 5pm - 2am.

The Common  has one of the best vibes in the downtown area. Great place to hangout and enjoy food and drinks! Hiphop brunch is definitely something worth checking out. Chicken and Waffles is one of the best in the city

Chicken and waffles special on Monday with a beer was $17 regular $13 without a beer. The chicken did not disappoint. Generous portion, great waffles, rhubarb reduction was not too sweet. Grilled zucchini salad was pricey for the portion but a nice change from other basic salads.  Everyone was friendly and service was prompt.

I was needing some Mac n Cheese, ordered that and salt and pepper wings.  The mac n cheese was spectacular and the wings were perfectly crispy.   Everything was delicious.

Didn’t write anywhere on google that minors aren’t allowed so we drove four hours just to find that we couldn’t eat here. We had paid for parking and made a reservation.... whole evening ruined. An overlook on their part but very disappointed. Unacceptable 

Great to see them open again. Well spaced seating. Great food and drinks.

I love the atmosphere! It's beautiful inside and the service was lovely! Food was delicious, simple, and had a contemporary twist on classic dishes like Chicken and Waffles! The bar service was also excellent - the Old Fashions really hit the spot. And also, that truffle butter popcorn is addictive!

I went with my two friends on Friday night for dinner. We were so happy about everything in this place. Nicole was so good in treating us the whole time and the food was great! I recommend this place!

I dined here a few weeks ago and the food and the atmosphere was absolutely perfect. I will definitely be coming back again when the new restrictions lift.
