The Chickenburger

5 for service, 4 for atmosphere, 3 for food. I weighted the food for my score to end up with an overall 3. Went with the family for chicken burgers, fries, and milkshakes. There's a variety of toppings available for the chicken burgers ketchup, mustard, mayo, [lightly] fried onions, and cranberry sauce that are pretty necessary to add flavor. The chicken itself is... OK. It comes in chunks and is essentially flavorless making the toppings necessities. The fries are similar, no flavor and mostly vehicles for ketchup. Daughter loved her s'mores milkshake. The restaurant itself is like a little pocket of history surrounded by noisy roads and construction. Service was great. Super polite and helpful.

Nice and fun little diner and liked reading the history about the location they had in the wall. Great to see a jukebox and not offer do you see retro neon. That’s about all. My meal came to $15 because I added bacon and cheese. The vale for what you pay to eat here does not match what you should receive. If I want Kraft processed cheese slice I’ll go to McDonalds and get better quality and value for my money. The hamburger…..Or should I say, ‘slider’ was the same size as my wallet that I keep in my pocket. Fries were dried out from overcooking. I like to try new to me places at least once and that’s all this place gets. Also I’ll never recommend this business to anyone. The owner needs to change the game and make quality food. Condiments are advertised as free….Why do you have to advertise this when the only condiment you hand out is ketchup. You don’t even offer cutlery to your guests.

The chicken burgers are delish except for the meat needs the liquid drained off better before assembling the sandwiches. Outbound were soggy and thoroughly wet.Food: 3/5

This is by far the worst burger I have ever eaten in all of my existence. It was just bland chicken between 2 buns !! I took 2 bites and threw the rest. I requested curry mayo which quickly promoted me to rush to the bathroom too. When I actually looked at the picture on the menu I had my doubts about it, but I thought I'd try. Unreal !! Maybe others like that bland taste but definitely not for foodies I guess.

Fish batter was undercooked in places. Was suggested upon ordering 2 two piece fish&chip meals that it would be cheaper to get a one piece and a 3 piece. We declined that suggestion, which was then followed up by 2 three piece meals would also be cheaper. I was shocked. A second suggestion on the same item... I declined that suggestion as well because we didn't need 3 pieces each. There was no explanation as to why the suggestions were cheaper... turns out, upon looking at the receipt, 2 piece fish&chips doesn't actually come in a meal... so drinks were extra. This also surprised me because my mother said she didn't want a drink, but I could have hers because it came with the meal... right infront of the cashier. 2 hurried suggestions to lower cost which threw us both off, and zero explanation as to why those suggestions would be cheaper. Telling us the 2 piece didn't actually come in a meal as we asked, would have saved us money and confusion.

WORST BURGER OF MY LIFE ! I had such high expectations from this place. They literally put cold chicken pieces in a bun, will never go again or recommend to someone.

Friendly staff and nice clean place, but the food was just so bad. I ordered a chicken burger and got turkey so it was wrong. If you call it a burger...a small puny and flimsy bun with warm bland turkey in the middle. No condiments, no flavour, nothing. First time going which I mentioned to the cashier but nobody told me I had to ask for condiments and nobody asked if I wanted any condiments or anything else. No recommendations made to me either. What a disgrace to what you call a burger restaurant. Plus the fries were bad. Sorry, won't be back.

This was the worst restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. I got the chicken burger and it was disgusting, it was dry and bland with ground up flavourless chicken. The fries were unsalted and the only condiment around was ketchup. It’s a cute little retro style place but the food is a no go and it’s overpriced for what you’re getting.

Been there at night, Honestly loved the vibe of this place only. It's bestest in the region. Totally retro kind of with classic songs and amazing lights. If you're bunch of friends, definitely go hangout there. It has brilliant ambient. As well, car show happens every week that makes this place more special. But the chicken burger we bought was really small in size and taste was sober. And the fries tastes like McDonals. Maybe I was expecting something different or maybe special kinda flavor in burger but we had to go to the "five guys" after that.

I had always heard great things years ago about The Chicken Burger. It was definitely not the best lunch I've ever had. I ordered, what else, the chicken burger, thinking it's obviously their specialty. I thought the chicken would be mixed with mayo or gravy. No. It was so dry and tasteless. There was LOTS of good, real, chicken in it but.....also, my husband had the fish and chips and said the fish was good. I guess they should rename it "The Fish Burger".
