Spice Box

I have thoroughly enjoyed everything I have ordered from Spice Box. They prepare the food quickly and have incredibly kind and courteous customer service. I have tried butter chicken poutine, chicken tikka poutine, chicken tikka wrap, chicken tikka, chicken and beef kebab, and fried chicken. I loved the chicken tikka wrap due to its smoky flavour. The poutines and kebabs were also delicious. I did not enjoy the fried chicken as I found it to be on the dry side, but that could be a traditional preparation method. I also tried ras malai, but it tasted very close to frozen Kesar ras malai that we always eat, so I was not too fond of it.

First time trying Spice Box today. Met the Pakistani Muslim owner who assured me their menu is halal! I tried their paneer poutine and it was VERY good! Will have to try their butter chicken next time.

First time at Spice Box today, it was too hot to cook so I decided to grab something on my way home! The butter chicken was amazing. A little spicy for me, but I thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely eat here again!

Came here from Toronto and was looking for an Indian vegetarian meal on Maps when I found this place. Ordered online and the process for pickup was smooth, however, the pickup times online may not be accurate so do call ahead if they're too long. The food was tasty Butter Paneer Poutine shown and very filling. A unique twist on Indian Cuisine!

Pakistani food with a twist. We went there while visiting from Mississauga where good Pakistani food is abundant. We ordered Chicken tikka naan pizza and butter chicken poutine and both were good fries could have been crispier though. I'm generally not a fan of butter chicken as it's not a true Pakistani dish, however, their butter chicken was different than the commonly sold chicken cubes in a sweet creamy tomato sauce. Their butter chicken was a great blend of spices and it tasted great. Reasonable prices and good portion size. Spice level was spot on. Good customer service rounds this one off to 5 stars. Recommended when in Halifax.

Butter chicken is so good, and the Naan bread is OMG, I could eat just the bread alone. The bread is not too oily, not too dry, not too soggy, not too crunchy, its just perfect. The butter chicken sauce is mildly spicy, at least for me, could be spicy for others, slightly tangy, but creamy, the flavor is very balance. Chicken is also tender. The tumeric rice is fragrant, fluffy and not too dry. I love everything about the dish, everything is on point. This place does deserve a consistent 5 stars, and it's not a hype. Very affordable too. Highly recommend. I will be back soon to try their Biryani since they have special deal on that.

Amazing food and super staff. Kebabs are succulent and flavorful. The butter chicken poutine is delicious. If you haven't checked out Spice Box yet, what are you waiting for?

These are the best chicken wings I have ever tried. Staff is very friendly and they just took 6-7 minutes to prepare the food.They give 15% off , if you order online, also 10% off for students

I found this is a restaurant while searching online for a place in Halifax that made Kebab. It’s a favorite dish of my father’s and it has always been difficult to come by locally. That’s no longer the case as Spice Box Takeout makes wonderful, flavorful and delicious kebabs. I made an order for the first time a couple weeks ago, and the food was so good I felt compelled to order it again for dinner the following night. I have tried the Beef Kebab and Chicken Kebab, and both were excellent as was the Paneer Tikka ordered for a vegetarian. In addition to great food, the owners have been exceptionally nice on every occasion I’ve been in to pick up an order. I will be sure to return again soon.

An amazing addition to HRM ethnic restaurants! The owners are super friendly and the menu is delicious. Only one photo because the food is SO good that I dig in right away, before I remember to get photos. This is the butter chicken poutine. I've Also tasted the Paneer Tikka, beef skewers, chicken skewers & tandoori chicken thanks to our family ordering a bunch of different dishes and sharing. Everything so far is yummy. I think the fried chicken might be my next dish to try. Be prepared for a short wait time as the food is all prepared to order. So the chicken and beef skewers are formed, grilled and cooked fresh! The short wait is worth it This NEEDS to be on your "To Do" list! You won't be disappointed.
