Redwood Grill

Honestly it pains me to even give this a one star. I ordered the chicken with mushroom truffle sauce and pan seared haddock for takeout. My chicken was burnt to a crisp and so tough I had to throw it out. I asked on the phone for extra mushroom/ truffle sauce, there is 0 taste of truffle, 4 mushroom slices and the sauce is all salt. The haddock was ever so slightly less disappointing but still very disappointing, there was a smidgen of potatoes and it was all just thrown into a box with no care. I highly recommend everyone steer clear of this place and I know I’ll never return!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Redwood Grill with a large party of 7 adults and 2 toddlers, and I must say that I was thoroughly impressed with the service we received. From the moment we walked in, the staff was attentive, friendly, and accommodating to our needs. The food at Redwood Grill was equally impressive. We started off with the calamari, which was cooked to perfection and had just the right amount of seasoning. The Beef Tagliata Fettuccine was also a hit with our group, as the meat was tender and flavorful, and the pasta was cooked al dente. However, the true standout of the meal was the mussels, which were absolutely amazing. They were fresh, juicy, and had a delicious flavor that was complemented perfectly by the broth they were served in. We couldn't get enough of them! While the chef feature mushroom ravioli was good, we found that it was a bit too oily for our liking. However, this was only a minor issue and did not detract from the overall quality of the meal.

My husband and I have visited the Redwood for brunch for about 4-5 years, and it is always delicious! Their menu is simple, but with great options... I highly recommend their Eggs Benny or their Chicken & Waffles. They have excellent staff service, a comfortable atmosphere, reasonable prices, and in my experience they are typically far less busy than other "chain" restaurant brunch locations in the area. We've never been disappointed! Parking: There is a large parking lot with plenty of spots in front of the restaurant, because it is within a hotel.

Great spot. Took my mom there for lunch and we shared the Beet Salad and then shared the Curry Chicken Penne and both were delicious. It wasn't very busy but should be. Food and service were excellent!Food: 5/5

Went for the creme brule and a tea, but found out that their menu has changed and they don't make desserts in-house anymore. My friend got the carrot cake, which she liked. My other friend and I ordered blueberry and apple pie, and we were disappointed. It tasted like an overheated supermarket pie. The tea pot had a weird spout and spilled hot tea everywhere, including my hand... I can't comment on the food, we only ordered dessert. Waitress was friendly.

Hugely disappointed that they changed the Maple Burger. For me it was the best burger in town and the reason I go to Redwood Grill. The burger patty was tasteless. They changed the crispy onions for big onion rings. No maple sauce to speak of it used to be a messy affair and added blah lettuce and tomatoes. Now just a regular sub-par burger.

13 years on large seasonal lot. Close to Peggy's and the Tantallon hub of shopping! Country setting with beautiful sunsets and access to St. Margaret's Bay.

Very nice Service by Caroline. Good food, decent pricing for the quality of food. Would definitely Recommend
