The Capital Living Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre

My father went here for brief rehab. Staff were incredibly flexible, tolerant wanting to make it work. Unfortunately my father would have no part in the rehab. The staff were outstanding in trying to work with him. The staff did theiir very best to accommodate a difficult situation. Thank you!

My wife, family and I, would like to thank all the wonderful people at Capital Living who took care of our mother, Beebee Alijan, during her brief stay. She passed on 10/5/2017 peacefully and she could not have asked for more from people who really cared. Thank you. Razid and Devi Ali. Acts. 20:35

They are short staffed. Management seems to have given up on these people. Residents and staff. This is the residents home. They have worked hard their lives and now is the time they need to be taken care of. It should be about the residents. Understanding that they have to consider the many and not the individual does not change the sadness. The staff needs to be listened to and respected. As well as the families. We know our family members best and try to pass some that to the staff. This so not a business to make money. This is about caring and giving the elderly a caring peaceful place to live out their lives. That means respect and dignity for both them and staff who care for them. That is where this nursing home needs help.

Amazing!, Truly Amazing!! The Capital Living Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre's Employee's are Extremely Professional & Knowledgeable. I can't say enough GREAT things about this Facility. The Entire Facility goes above & beyond to care for the Resident's & their families. Each Department treats the Resident's and their families with Respect. They get to know about each Resident's life before they came to live there. The Resident's as well as their families are treated like family and made to feel comfortable for this is their home now. They are not defined by their illness. The Alzheimer's & Dementias units are exceptional. Willow, is now home to my Dad & We feel very Blessed to have Dad cared for by these very Loving, caring individual's. Every Employee on this Unit are out standing and provide A++ Care) Dad is content here and my whole family feels content as well, Knowing he is receiving the VERY BEST CARE AVAILABLE!! I feel comfortable saying "I believe all Units are run the same way" Our family highly recommends Capital Living Nursing & Rehabilitation Centre ...not only is this Facility Beautiful, Immaculate, Great food & is Staffed by the Very Best Compassionate, & Loving employees......they Provided the very BEST CARE and they keep you INFORMED on everything about your loved one. Thank you to all the Departments & Employee's that make this facility GREAT! Also for helping to make this very difficult time in our life easier to cope with. The Shanks & Coulter Family

Place looks nice, very few employees are truly caring enough, whether they don't have the time to spend on each person or not, they just don't seem to have the compassion I expected. Most of the patients are put in wheelchairs all day long, a bell rings when their pants are wet, I was there this past summer and it took 2 1/2 hours before they took the lady to the bathroom and changed her clothes. This is GROSS. They do not take the time to walk patients around daily so their bodies can function as normal as possible, instead give them enemas. AND THEY ALL GET UTI'S. Food is served COLD. Not enough one-on-one time with patients to keep their minds coherent. And they put them on the toilet and leave them for 1/2 hour making it harder for the patient to get up and leaving them sore. And when they press the nurse button to go to the bathroom it takes up to an hour for the nurse to come. And the stench of bodily fluids in some of the areas is overwhelming. I don't blame low wages or benefits for some of these issues, everyone should always do the best they can under the circumstances at all times. Although when always short-staffed I can see how some of the employees give up on and do less, knowing they are set-up for always being over-worked and under-staffed too.
