The Camino
"Located in the heart of downtown Missoula, The Camino is dedicated to honest Mexican cooking techniques and traditionsThe Camino slips in and out of Oaxacan neighborhoods, Yucatan jungles, the highlands, deserts, hillsides, and beaches of Mexico to bring a little bit of spice and light to our home in Missoula. Translated as the path or the way, The Camino is our exploration, a desire to step outside ourselves and learn at the feet of others."

Just have to say that we loved this place! Great drinks! We ordered the queso, crab tostada AMAZING, steak, carnitas, and barbocoa tacos. We shared everything family style between two people and it was more than enough food! The queso was so cheesy and the chorizo was so good! The crab tostada was a great addition to the fatty cheese as it provided a fresh, flavorful hint to balance everything out. The carnitas tacos were a hit! Service was excellent and the atmosphere is beautiful. Highly recommend if you're looking for an upscale Mexican spot.
Omg i dude and went to culinary heaven. I must try everything on the menu. Service wax amazing. Atmosphere top notch. You will not regret eating and drinking here.Food: 5/5
This is the premier Missoula Tequila bar. I came in for Taaaaccccoooo Tuesday after having dined at The Camino before, and was again wowed by the hand made tortillas, the Carne Asada and Al Pastor tacos, the delicious Crema dessert, and magical queso and guacamole with fresh made chips. The key to the success of this place is the freshness of the products. I've been here 5 times or so, and have never had anything that wasn't extremely fresh made. Finding homemade corn tortillas in Montana anywhere is hard, as well as slow roasted meats and vegetables that complement the meal. This place mixes class and relaxing atmosphere perfectly. I'm thankful it exists. In short, if you want delicious tacos and Hispanic fare, quality tequila including the exclusive Don Julio Montana Cask, and great service this is always a quality place to go. Be sure to book a reservation ahead of time. Thank you The Camino!
Best mexican restaurant in town! Im from Mexico City and this is the only place in Missoula that has REAL mexican food, their cochinita pibil is so good! Their queso fundido is unreal, I haven’t eaten anything like that since I lived in Mexico. I finally found a restaurant where I can go whenever I feel homesick and miss mexican food definitely will come back soon
Their tacos are so good!! House-made corn tortilla tacos with various different filings personal favorite being the al pastor, chips and salsa, guac!!guacamole!!! You just can't go wrong!
I love tacos. We went out of our way to make sure we tried this restaurant, and let me tell you, these were the BEST tacos. Fresh, unique ingredients and incredible atmosphere. I wish I could go once a week. The drinks were perfectly done, and staff was wonderful. Would highly recommend!
This was underwhelming. The food was 3 stars, good but not something I need reservations for. The atmosphere is modern, if that's your thing, cool. We ordered some cocktails that were definitely not mixed properly, although I appreciate the 10 to 1 rum to mix recipe. But what dropped 2 stars and almost to a 1 was when our server said there is 15 minutes left in happy hour, brought us that menu and then when she FINALLY returned to take our order, told us happy hour was over and we couldn't order from that menu anymore. I almost walked out. I did like the fundito. I like trying new places, and I'm glad I did. I'll not have to wonder if I should go back.
Everything was soooo good, drinks appetizer and 4 different kids of tacos all EXCELLENT!!!! Plus friendly service, definitely will go backFood: 5/5
“Fancy” Mexican. Nicely priced tacos for their size. Spicy queso fundito! Superb carnitas - well seasoned pork. Carne Asada was chewy and could use more discretion on fat - too much. Great flavor though. Nice crunch with potato things. Needed a slice of lime on the side. Great experience but a little emphasis on the “fancy” and “hippie” vibe. 4 stars just for prices.
Absolutely blown away on the first visit. Quality and quantity of the food is top notch. Be prepared to wait for a table during peak hours but it's worth it. Our server, Brooke took care of our every need and had very helpful suggestions. The prime rib is their specialty but everyone in our party tried different things and everyone was pleased with their meal. I highly recommend this restaurant.
