besides the name meaning the devil, this burrito place is really delicious!!! I love how they are stuffed because they make you stuffed. I got the grilled fish, and it was super amazing. I love the variety of different stuff you can put in it from black beans, salsa, sour cream, etc... The staff are super friendly. I really recommend this place if you are looking for a scrumptious burrito!!!
Today i went skiing and then stopped here on my way home. It had to have been the most satisfying burrito experience I could have asked for: fish with pinto beans, gorgonzola, just the right jalapeños, and medium sauce. I was going to photograph my burrito but i was so engrossed in the experience of consuming it that I forgot to snap a pic. It’s in my stomach where it belongs; the whole thing. My burrito peeps were wicked cool, and kind, efficient workers too. This place is a Missoula gem!
Even though I’ve glorified other restaurants in Missoula, this is my favorite! For a reasonable price, you get an enormous burrito filled with different savory flavors, and when you get to choose what goes in it, you really can’t go wrong. Ever since I was a kid, El Diablo has been my go-to restaurant. Highly recommend.
We ordered steak burritos and pork tacos. The burritos had very little steak in them and tasted like the meat was boiled which didn’t have any flavor. Got some chips which really just tasted like repackaged Tostitos ‍.
Stopped in for a couple tacos. Not impressed by the cod or carnitas. Very little meat and fish was dry and chewy. Maybe an off day? Toppings weren't super tasty, medium salsa had no spice and made it a soggy mess. Some may be into that though.
I got the steak burrito and thought the whole thing was a bit small for the price. The staff were nice and kind and made sure to be clean and gloved for making the food the saving grace of this review. The flavors were nice, but both the rice and the beans were undercooked, which kind of killed most of the enjoyment. The cherry on top came in the form of a little rock that wasn't removed from the beans and almost cost me a tooth. Not coming back.
What do you call eating a burrito in the cold? A ‘brrrrr-rito!’ Seriously a devilishly great burrito. Thank you so much!
Employees are incredibly stingy with foodstuffs. The tortillas are sticky and weird. The spiciest sauce isn't spicy. Overall, the food is entirely inauthentic. However, it's pretty cheap, and the food isn't all that bad -- it's just nothing to write home about.
I love supporting local businesses so it saddens me to write that this was the worst taco experience I’ve had. I ordered the 3 tacos and by the time I got home to eat I realized I was given the wrong sauce that has dairy in it and I’m lactose intolerant I ordered the fish sauce that is dairy free. So I wasn’t able to finish my food. The taco I did eat was a mess because they do not put two tortillas for corn tortillas if you can’t pick it up what’s the point?. I ordered the chips and salsa and was disappointed to see that they aren’t severed warm but rather served in a bag just like you’d get them from the store. I’m thoroughly disappointed and will not be back, hopefully this review serves as a call for improvement to the business because I truly want locals to succeed.
A good representation of Missoula tin foil wrapped tacos. I still miss my big city tacos, but these work in a pinch, and are probably the best tacos in town. The pulled pork is indulgent and delicious, and I also enjoy the steak and chicken tacos. My only real complaint is that I used to get out of here for less than $10 and now I'm spending closer to $14 with a drink and sour cream, so it's definitely not as cheap as it used to be, but I suppose they can't be blamed for inflation.
