Extremely disappointed with the experience at this facility. My 15-year-old nephew, who came straight from church in dress clothes to support his uncle at a basketball tournament, was treated in a completely inappropriate and unprofessional manner by an older man acting like an “owner” or a “manager” of the facility.nnWhile waiting for the game to start, he respectfully asked if he could shoot around with a ball that was already on the floor. Unintentionally, his dress shoes left some skid marks on the gym floor — something he clearly didn’t realize, as he was simply enjoying the sport in good faith. Instead of a calm explanation or guidance, this 50-year-old man chose to yell at a child — swearing at him, belittling him for being “blind” and scolding him as if he had committed some malicious act.nnHe ranted about the floor costing $200,000, how a cleaning crew would now need to come in, and that my nephew “should have known better.” What kind of adult speaks to a teenager this way? If your floors are so sacred, maybe invest in signage, supervision, or staff presence, rather than aggressively unloading on a kid who didn’t know any better. The behavior was condescending, hostile, and entirely unnecessary — especially toward someone who was clearly just being a respectful spectator.nnThis was not just poor customer service. It was disgraceful conduct by someone who should know far better. I will never host or attend any future events at this facility and strongly advise others to reconsider as well. Facilities are only as good as the people who represent them — and this encounter spoke volumes.
Great place for all types of sports and especially kids activities, we go here for kids soccer, it has a lot of facilities and a small fast food restaurant. There are plenty of free parking spaces outside the facility.
If I could give a rating lower than 1 I would, but obviously not possible so I have to give it a 1. Watching a full grown man screaming at a barely teenage boy for innocently playing basketball, which is what this facility is for mind you was absolutely atrocious. As an adult and a person who is supposed to be representing this facility, you would think that they would be able to carry themselves with more grace and understanding and better vocabulary then just using curse words on and I say again a barely teenage child. As advice for this facility, if You could spend a little extra time on training your faculty, especially somebody that carries themselves as a boss or a manager Simple customer service.
What I witnessed at this facility was downright disturbing. A grown man, representative of the facility was loudly yelling at a young teen, who was just trying to enjoy a game of basketball.nnAs an adult and a representative of the facility, one would expect professionalism, patience, and a basic level of respect. Instead, what I saw was an individual resorting to curse words, aggression and bullying toward a child. This behaviour is completely unacceptable and disgusting, especially from someone in a managerial or authoritative role.nnMy suggestion to the facility is invest more time and effort into training your staff, particularly those in leadership positions. Professionalism, good communication, and basic customer service should be non-negotiable.
1.nnI am writing on behalf of our basketball team regarding the recent developments in our court booking agreement, and I must express our collective disappointment and frustration.nnInitially, we agreed to reserve the court every Friday night at a rate of $105 per hour, with the understanding that a deposit of approximately $1,500 would secure our booking. Based on this agreement, we promptly communicated with our 22 members, collecting $70 each to cover the deposit. However, when we approached you to finalize this arrangement, we were informed that the court availability might not be guaranteed every Friday due to possible priority use by Calgary Surge. This stipulation was not mentioned during our initial discussions, and it significantly undermines the commitment we made to our members based on the assurance of a weekly booking.nnTo make matters worse, when we expressed our concerns and asked for a guaranteed booking, the rate was unexpectedly increased to $115 per hour. Even then, the commitment remains uncertain, as the availability would be contingent on convincing Calgary Surge to adjust their scheduling.nnThis abrupt change in terms is not only unprofessional but also entirely unacceptable to our team. We entered this agreement in good faith, assuming that a deposit and agreed-upon rate would secure consistent court access for our members. Instead, we are now faced with higher costs and no guarantee of the service we were promised.nnWe urge you to honor the original agreement of $105 per hour with a guaranteed booking every Friday night. Anything less would be a disservice to our members who have already contributed to this deposit under the assumption of reliable access.nnWe look forward to a prompt resolution and expect that our concerns will be addressed in good faith.
