So perfect to hang out with your family! We got there and used the rentals and it was so beautiful.nnThere is plenty of parking, plenty of benches and picnic tables and also multiple fire pits around the place!nnWe’re definitely coming back!
Great free activity to do in Calgary at this beautiful location. The ice is a little rough right now and some spots barricaded due to the warm weather, but overall still great skating! Fire pits, and concession on site. Affordable skate rentals if you need them too.
Bowness Rink is a fantastic place to go, especially on a date night or with the family. The ice surface is large and well maintained. There are several river paths to go down and the setting is quite beautiful. Highly recommended, especially at night when the decorations and lights are up. You’ll have a very fun time.
Very spacious outdoor skating rink!!! It can occupy 600 skaters in the lake. Fire pits are seen everywhere. There’s a cafe in the prep area and it’s well lit!
The ice is absolutely horrendous this year. Not anybody especially fault, and the guys are trying hard to fill the cracks.nn2/5 of us were injured yesterday skating into huge cracks. In my opinion, they should close the main pond and the trails a.s.a.p.nnStill an amazing place to curl, hang out by the fire and relax, but don't even bother with skating.
