I went here for dinner with a group of girlfriends. Our server, Jessica was warm and welcoming and offered great recommendations. Our drinks were great....try the Pink Gin Iced Tea! The pizza was amazing and the only drawback was that it took a really long time to arrive at the table. It was a delicious meal and the place has wonderful ambiance. Vegetarian options: There are several vegetarian options on the menu.
Wow, the food here is ah-mazing! We enjoyed an assortment of appetizers and pizzas and the presentation, quality and flavors far exceeded my expectations. I also really appreciate a locally sourced menu. The wood-fired pizzas were perfect and duck confit poutine is my new favorite appetizer, lol!, This will now be the Gold Standard to try to beat you can't, don't even try. I only wish we lived closer so this could be our regular place to go!
Had the feature dessert this past week it was this amazing chocolate coconut skor Oreo deliciousness!!! This should be on the fixed menu for sure. And can I just say what great service I received from Candice..looking forward to my next time through and I can only hope that this dessert will be there to greet me
OMG! Cambridge's best kept secret...wow! We have been here several times and this is our new GO TO!!! Unbelievable food! Unbelievable prices! Candice has been our server the past few times and is one of the reasons we will continue to come to this unbelievably amazing restaurant! Chefs Chris and Erin knock it out the park... I'm telling you! Cambridge's hidden gem! You've gotta eat here!
Very nice fish and chips. Beer batter is crispy. Little bit oily and lacking in some salt for flavour but overall very good.
This place came highly hyped but disappointed. Nothing about it was bad perse but nothing was outstanding either and the prices were highest. I stopped in after work for a early supper before heading to an event later. The restaraunt had only apps until 5pm so I decided to wait since I had heard the wood fired pizza was the thing to get. The most interesting discovery of the night was the craft grape cider which I had never had before but enjoyed. I ordered a meat lovers pizza and Buffalo wings both were serviceable but no better than I could get at any pizza place around at much cheaper price. The dining area was quite small and the ambience was ruined by a wedding party waiting for the event space next door and a child plunking away at the stand up piano. The wait staff were obviously harried by the party but did their best to check in on me. Once dinner service started it was enjoyable watching the pizzas being made in the oven at the back of the restaraunt. With tip, tax and drinks my bill came out to about $80 which I don't mind paying but I could have got just as good for much less elsewhere.
I am not exaggerating when I say the Mother Clucker sandwich is inedible. Enjoy your softball size chicken breast, half of which is brittle black burned batter, shoved between a dry bun with a tomato slice, lettuce, and strip of bacon, all of which completely falls to pieces the second you pick it up. No flavour or even sauce to speak of. I ate the fries and threw out the “sandwich” after trying to eat some of the chicken that I would compare to petrified wood. It’s so bad it comes across as a disgruntled employee getting a kick out of ruining someone’s meal. Skip Bruce Craft House all together if this is what they’re serving.
Arguably one of the best restaurant meals I’ve ever eaten. Really. Massive ribs with Mac and cheese. Killer. Carly was an amazing waitress.
The service really needs improvement because the food is delicious. Had eaten a delicious lunch earlier in the day and while the service wasn't fantastic, we decided to return for dinner. Arrived well within the 9pm pizza and entree cutoff time. However the waitress was in no rush to serve us or take our food order. After several trips back and forth to our table and serving us drinks she asked for our order. My son ordered a pizza and was told that it was now 9:01 and the kitchen was closed. Seriously? Stunned I asked if she could inquire about making an exception considering that we had been sitting there for the past 20 minutes waiting to order. Annoyed she did, but returned at 9:02 saying that the oven had been turned off and they weren't about to turn it back on for us. To top it off, she had literally just served a pizza to a family one table over... Which she had forgotten to place with the rest of the family's dinner. So it wasn't as if the oven was turned off early and had cooled. Fine. We got up and left. I won't be back. And FYI they place auto-gratuity on all of the bills... It's about the only way they will get tipped because it's that bad.
We had a wonderful 1st meal experience at The Bruce tonight. Atmosphere was inviting. Menu was intriguing - including a variety of staples and innovative dishes. Smash burger and fries was fantastic and the Halloumi tacos were a perfect Combination of salty and sweet. Service was exceptional, thanks Jess! We will be back.
