The Boat House Restaurant

First time here, not impressed! We were seated and waited for 10 minutes for a server had to go ask to be waited on. Messed up our orders and then said certain items would take to long to remake ended up just getting fries which took a long time to get. The fish and chips tasted burnt or maybe the oil needs to be changed. Also they were out of a lot of items on a Saturday night at 5:30. Mitch our server we did get, went above to make things better. Kitchen staff need work!!

Best made-from-scratch food with an amazing view in Winona. Nightly dinner specials. Come a little early/later to avoid the inevitable 7pm crush on weekends. The tiny kitchen does its best to keep up. Good beer on tap, full bar, best fries in town. "Best cheese curds I've ever had..." (but they're a special only--not on regular menu).

Great spot for lunch! Nice view of River and fantastic food. Many gluten free and vegetarian options.

Brunch and dinner are always faves for us! Just wish they were open year round 😉 love the views of the river and staff!

They charged me at least $32 more and when I noticed it on my credit statement after 10 days and called them, a lady told me sorry we don't keep our bills more than a week. When I asked for talking to manager, she said he is busy with cooking and he can't answer the phone. I even asked leave my number and he call me back, but she said there is no guaranty he call you back since he is busy!!!! and then she said sorry we are busy and she put the phone down!!! We had a fish and chips($11), walleye fish and chips($17), and 2 beers($10). Total is $38. I usually tip 20%. With tax and tip I am sure it didn't pay more than $50.
