Great place for a quick lunch. Winona is lacking in decent places to eat, blooming grounds is easily the best place in town. AmyJo, the owner, is super nice. Food is great and prices are very reasonable. Also, you can pay with your phone now- an added plus.

The Winona area has many great coffee shops, but nothing close to what Amy Jo the owner has created with Blooming Grounds. An excellent coffee house with an amazing food menu selection (recommend the wraps) that are made by the happiest service minded employees I have ever seen. Many nights there is live music or events like the Mental illness Monologues to show the diversity of the Blooming Grounds Culture. If you are in Winona and are hungry or are looking for something new; I absolutely recommend this shop!! P.S. You can now order ONLINE!! AND THEY DELIVER!!

I like going here every once in while, mainly because at night in Winona it's the only place open downtown that is not a bar with fried food. That being said most of the food is ordered in frozen like the soup so it's not fresh or locally made. It is also fairly expensive. My biggest problem is the service. They employ mostly students who are much more interested in watching for friends coming in the door than paying attention to your order. Once i ordered the veggie panini and it came with just lettuce. I sent it back to get actual veggies!

Excellent soups and sandwiches. Great ambiance in her downtown location. Always excellent service. As a local, this is one of my favorite places in town for lunch.
