Cool place for after work drinks, they do great happy hour deals. VERY loud on a Friday evening though, It would be nice if they turned down the guy singing a bit so you can hear your friends. The food looks amazing but I haven't tried it yet.

Food is solid, drinks are good, whiskey selection is decent. The cauliflower appetizer is excellent, we can't get enough and look forward to it every time we go to Blackbird. Their whiskey selection is the best to be found in this area of town. Irish Heather in gas town is the best in Downtown and Fetz Whiskey Kitchen is the best in the lower mainland.

Nice pub, drinks came fast and food was delicious, although it wasn't big but it was enough. Friendly staff and friendly atmosphere.

The food was good but the service was average at best, and when the bill came the server did not disclose that there was gratuity added to the bill. My boyfriend paid and didn’t notice until later and was too nice to say anything. I found it very unethical that the server did not disclose the added gratuity as we ended up tipping over 35%. As a former server, I whole heartedly agree with tipping your server well, even for average service, but I do disagree with taking advantage of your patrons by not disclosing added gratuity.

Downtown Vancouver/second floor. Happy hour until 6:00. Big tv to watch hockey. Has a well stocked Scotch bar and serves fresh oysters on the half shell.
