Story

The Bar Method creates lean, firm and sculpted bodies by reshaping and elongating muscles. The hour-long class begins with free weights and push-ups, moves to the ballet bar to challenge the leg and seat muscles, and finishes with abdominal work and stretching. The intense pace increases fat burning and stamina. The Bar Method raises the bar in exercise.

Bar Method as an exercise regimen is fantastic, and this studio is so true to the methodology, so rigorous in making sure clients are doing the moves properly and getting the most out of their workouts. Every single teacher is top notch--they bring their own personality to the class, along with total commitment to the method. The classes are fun, high-energy and the time flies by. The studio is spotless clean, beautifully decorated, welcoming and super-friendly. I've been going here for almost two years and I feel so welcome and loved. Everyone is thriving in this studio. I can't recommend it highly enough.
I have been taking classes for the last few months and I absolutely love them! I've always been a huge fan of group classes but had never taken one exactly like this one. Since I started, I have noticed a positive change throughout my entire body and feel amazing! The instructors are top notch and I love that so many different time slots are offered as well, which has now made it possible for me to get an awesome workout in before I go to work. Thank you so much for opening my eyes to a gorgeous facility and such a fantastic experience each and every time!
I absolutely LOVE Bar Method! It sounds a bit crazy, but taking these classes has changed my life. I am more energized and feel strong for the first time in years. The studio has a great vibe -- people are very friendly and welcoming. The teachers are super knowledgeable and clearly take pride in what they do. They know everybody's names and help make that sure you are doing the exercises safely. I have taken other bar classes in the area in the past, but Bar Method is definitely the best!
The staff is welcoming and the exercise is great! I’ve taken other “Barre” classes and none compare to the Bar Method. What makes Bar Method different is the personal attention and attention to detail regarding correct body position — even in a full class. All of the instructors are engaged and motivating. You work each of the major muscle groups in each class. I saw results quickly and I am stronger. This is the best workout ever!
Bar Method has changed my life! I look forward to going everyday! The instructors are as Professional as they come. I’m always amazed how they know every persons name in class. Special attention is paid to safety. Not an easy workout for sure. Stick with it and you will see your body change! LOVE IT !
To be completely honest, I was a little hesitant about barre because I didn't think it was for me. I wasn't used to the open floor, instructors knowing my name and fixing my form. But I stuck with it and have been doing it for 4 months now and I love the results I'm seeing. The instructors and front desk are all very friendly and they've created a positive environment. I really enjoy and look forward to going to the classes and highly recommend it!
Great classes with great instructors. I am feeling stronger and leaner every time I go and my posture is improved. This studio, its instructors and its patrons are all supportive and non-judgemental. Instruction is clear and given with concern for joint health and any special accommodations needed. I wish I could go more often!
I'm in my early 50s and started bar method about nine months ago. My 20 year old daughter got me hooked. I see every age, fitness level and shape of women in all my classes getting stronger, more flexible and confident every week. I wanted to increase my core and upper body strength as my middle started expanding and shoulders slumping more with age. I wanted to feel strong, feel good in my clothes and find an exercise I could do safely for the rest of my life. I learned how bar method is designed by physical therapists and is great for all ages. Having done pilates reformer for years I saw results and grew stronger much faster with 3 to 4 classes a week of bar. Each class and teacher is different and fun. As an added benefit I've found the classes reduce daily stress, help me feel centered and maintain better eating habits. Although the wine and chocolate are non-negotiable! The Fairfield Studio is very attractive and clean and the staff are professional, friendly and inspiring. Joining as a vip member has been a great choice for my lifestyle, overall health and state of mind!
This is a wonderful place. I have gained strength and friends in this warm and supportive community of women and a few men. Each and every one of the instructors take you at any strength level and help you thrive. They really care about form and help you get things right. There is no doubt in my mind that I have changed the way I look and feel, as well as the way I think about my workouts. Good stuff all around.
Bar Method Fairfield is not only a place where you exercise to tone up, lose inches but you build confidence, endurance, and strength with a wonderful community of women who are caring. The instructors are energetic and amazing in their own right. Even if you have never done exercise or feel intimidated this is the place that welcomes you as an individual. You gain the confidence, endurance, and strength along with lasting friendships!
