Teamendous is definitely more than meets the eye! From the outside it looks like a boutique of sorts, but once you go inside, you notice a lot of customers hanging out, sipping tea in a very relaxing atmosphere! They do a variety of teas, with recommendations based on your preferences! Staff like Julia and Xiao Sun are extremely knowledgeable in their teas!! Turns out they also offer tea lessons for those really interested in learning more! When you "graduate" you can pick a teacup from their wall and claim it yours!!! Overall amazing experience and I can't wait to be back again!
I am in love with @teamendous.toronto, a new Asian Teahouse at #shopatDonMills. Teamendous is a Teahouse and NFT Gallery showcasing a blend of tea culture and colourful digital art. Considered a first in Toronto. I am in awe at the wall collections of quality tea ware and loose leaf teas that are priced affordable to rare pieces that are thousands of dollars for purchase. Enjoy the worlds finest Pu’er tea served with sweets in a beautiful and relaxing space. Learn all about the history by tea experts. This shop also offers classes, a mini library and a private tea room for you and guests for your own tea ceremony. When I heard my guest Essie’s @exploreressie mother is a certified Tea Sommelier from Korea, I insisted she come join us too. We arrived at 5:30, we had such an amazing experience together, we stayed till almost closing time!! We had the following recommendations: Laobanzhang Pu’er from tea grown in the most recognizable mountain. Yellow Gold in colour and is light tasting. Yunan Wild with Sun Dried Black Tea from 300 year old ancient trees. Amber in colour with more intensity. Pheonix Dan Oolong Cold Brew Set has hints of lychee and is very light in taste. Thanks to Julia our tea expert for a wonderful time! Tea Sets are $17.95 or $8.95 for take out.
Teamendous is a new teahouse at Shops at Don Mills! ⁣ ⁣ Teamendous offers the world's finest Chinese traditional teas, high-quality teaware, and more! ⁣ ⁣ Honestly a great spot to do some reading or work. You can enjoy your tea while checking out their NFT gallery $8/cup, $17/pot. ⁣ ⁣ I learned a lot about Chinese tea and its history from their amazing staff. They also have a library for you to learn more about Chinese tea too!⁣ They’ll be offering workshops and such so be sure to check them out!
October 3.5 A very elegant and beautiful place to sit down, relax and sip a large varieties of pu'erh tea from various regions in China. A variety of cheaper and more expensive versions available. They sell art work and also, as expected, tea pots and cups. The tea itself come in various forms, balls, square shaped and the traditional biscuit. While it's very nice, it's also pricy. There's only pu'erh which is a red/black fermented tea at time of writing. Overall, a nice visit. If you haven't been and are a tea drinker, it might be worth the try.
This is a tea-sperience unlike any other. I'm not someone who has any knowledge of Chinese traditional loose leaf teas, so walking in was a little intimidating. But once my friends and I sat down and took in the space, we immediately felt welcomed. We were helped by one of the lovely staff who provided us with simple but profound service. Let me explain. This service may be common for those who visit establishments like this regularly, but there was a mind-reading or so I like to think process where the server brought us a menu which was meant for each pair of 2 people to split a single pot of tea. None of us had the experience to order by ourselves, so we asked for some help. The server asked us a few questions like "Do you like sweet bitter teas" and "Do you have a sensitivity to caffeine". From there she recommended a Pu’er Tea from the menu that we took her word on. There were 6 of us in total, so she followed this service for the others, recommended different teas for each of the pairs. This seemed like a gimmick to an inexperienced tea drinker like myself, but let me tell you she knew EXACTLY what to serve us. After about 10 minutes of carefully brewing all pots of tea behind the bar, she brought out a beautiful tray for each of the 3 pairs. It was filled with a tea pot for self serving, 2 small shot sized glasses, a description card, and uniquely delicious desserts paired with each tea see my attached photo for what the tray looked like. After having a few glasses of the incredibly smooth and light tea, I tried the other 2 pots they brought out. To my amazement, I kept going back to the pot the server recommended to us. It seemed that was the case for the other pairs as well with their own tea. All that to say, if you enjoy tea casually or regularly then this is a spot worth your time and money which is on pricier side. I would recommend visiting with a friend or two, but they will treat you just as well if you go alone.
An authentic and aesthetic tea shop to enjoy selection of fine tea, learn about the tea culture and houses a collection of antique and modern tea wares. They also is the first teahouse nft gallery in Toronto. It is a wonderful experience, a spot to hang out in a relaxing environment with friends but there was also a mini library and quiet room that you can escape to The fine tea collection ranges from pu’er, black, oolong and green tea. Each tea is unique in components, notes and flavours. You can take the tea to take out by the cup or enjoy the full relaxing experience by sitting in. Each sitting in set is paired with a small traditional sweet but you can purchase additional desserts such as roll cake slices tarts to enjoy with your tea. Fei Zi Xiao Black Tea paired with Haw Sticks Yiwu Pu’er Raw Tea paired with Freeze Dried Dates Matcha Roll Slice Fig Fruit Tart
This is not your typical cafe! Came here for a cup of tea and to do some work on a Friday afternoon. I didn’t know what to order because the teas all had Chinese names but the staff was very helpful and told me about which teas I should try based on my taste. I got the Fei Zi Xiao Black Tea which has a touch of lychee. This place is known for traditional Chinese loose leaf tea and they are very meticulous with the brewing process. Because it is such an elevated experience, the tea is on the pricier side but I would definitely come back with friends to try the dine-in tea sets. The atmosphere is nicely decorated and clean.
The place is very calming with super nice service. Definitely recommend for tea drinkers. They’ve got all kinds of tea with little intro and story cards..
Staff was nice and knowledgeable. The oolong tea is very special.
Very Good experience! Great place for photography! Worth to try with friends. Afternoon tea & dessert snacks. Vegetarian options: Seasonal changes for variety of choices. Parking: Free parking lots.
