came here yesterday literally 5 min before close and felt bad. the staff was amazing and welcoming regardless off the circumstances. they guided me towards the product i was looking for and were so kind and knowledgeable. The store was clean and organized, products were fully stocked up. would definitely stop by again!
I ordered a black tumblr and once it arrived I realized it was defective. Later that week I went to return it in-store at the Eaton’s Centre. The employees informed me that because it was purchased online it could not be returned in-store because it was a different division of the company. This is ridiculous and I have never experienced this return policy before. I then tried MANY times to return it by customer service online and had to wait over an hour to connect with a virtual assistant and had to give up because I did not have the time to wait. I phoned many times and my call was not answered after waiting the 10 minute period. A day where I had more time I waited an hour to connect to a virtual assistant and they had 3 other customers they were dealing with. I had to wait for their replies and they needed receipts, pictures, and a video which I had to email because the file was too big. The assistant sent an email to a previous customer and then sent me this customers email which is an invasion of their privacy. The whole experience consumed so much time and was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I will not shop at David’s Tea because this was so awful.
There's no price on anything. When asking why there's no price on nearly anything I'm told "oh yeah there's no price on anything. That's feedback we get a lot." What? Obviously when you're shopping you expect to know how much things cost. Instead you have to check everything manually with your own phone on their website. This is really tedious and causes crowding in an already way too small location. Davidstea products are decent. Not really worth the price, but if you want something with nice packaging for a gift there aren't many other options.
I came in a few weeks ago to buy a matcha maker, as I lost a part a long time ago. Michel let me know that they occasionally have spare parts, and I should come by or call them. I called Tracie a week ago and they didn’t have one. Happen to be at Eaton centre and checked today. Tracie had put one aside for me when one came in not knowing when I would call again. Incredible service and amazing people. Thank you both so much!
Disgusting customer service, I’m interested to try a sample tea with only hot water as a new customer, she charged me 3.69 dollar for only with hot water…then I was shocked to find out there is a free sample tea when another person came in shop and asked for it.. She was playing with her phone while I speak to her and didn’t even lift her head up to talk to me. She didn’t wash her hands when she make the tea which is disgusting… her dirty hands was all over the tea bag
stopped into this place today and boy it has changed, not in a good way. i used to love this store back in the day. my buddy Cajj was one of the manager's then, and i remember the store's culture more fun then too. price tag's were on the shelves so i didn't have to chase anyone down to learn how much something cost. also back then the tea wall had more options to choose from. i hope this changes soon. david's tea should really consider bringing back older management who were more-so into tea than the blank faced zombies i encountered working here today. side-note: please bring back coconut oolong this summer!
Horrible experience. Beware of their website, it doesn't let you cancel orders and it doesn't have a reliable/existent customer service. Placed my order on december 1st and I've received 6 or so emails, to this date, apologizing for the delay. The last email said that part of my order is cancelled. 22 days to tell me that. Incredibly dissapointed. Check their social media account before placing an order. It's full of costumers going through the same situation.
There are no price tags on most of the products so I had to wait 10 min in line to ask for the price of multiple items and to kindly give them the feedback that I saw muslyiple customers leaving because they couldn’t see prices and all the sales assistants were busy. She responded that they stopped putting price tags because they were constantly changing prices… that is an unacceptable answer and you likely lost 10 potential clients as I was standing there
Terrible customer service. This company takes 2 weeks to process an order and then 7 business days to deliver as their warehouse is in Montreal. This is the justification giving for an order delay by your CS representative You should work in your shipping process unless you only have 1 person working in your warehouse. It doesn’t matter that your warehouse is in Montreal, any international shipping can take less time than yours. Do not order online, as they will take forever to send the package.
Issue with online order so I gave a 1 star review on their website. Guess what - they moderated my review: Our staff has read your review and values your contribution even though it did not meet all our website guidelines. Not a honest business.
