It's a bank. They charge you money to hold your money, think about that for a minute. Go find a better bank.

If I could rate this place a 0 trust me I would. Me & my boyfriend have been banking with TD for years. Went in there today just to be told that his check (has to be on hold) because it wasn't the same amount as his last one? Even though he's been at his job for months now & has cashed about 17 of the same cheques .. but now all of a sudden it needs to be on hold? This only happens when you go to the one clerk , all the other staff there besides her are nice and do there job properly , so I feel bad for giving this rating but today was the worst experience ever. The one clerk there she always asks you a million and one questions snoops through your account and makes you feel like your trying to fraud. The same clerk a week ago who did the to my boyfriend today did the same thing to me a week ago with my insurance cheques. If there is no legit reason to hold the cheque they need to stop. Asked to speak to the manager who had nothing but snarly remarks and defended her employee when they were both wrong. The manager did the same thing and told us it has to be on hold even though this is like the 17th Cheque we have deposited multiple times and have never had an issue before... Than the manager had the nerve to ask us to leave, we went down the street to the bank on fisherhallman they cashed it with no problems what so ever & no "holds" the same cheque? How does this make sence... anyways RUDE and HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THESE TWO & the manager. Also I will be calling head office to complain and when I asked the manager for the number and to circle it please she said "I can look through the pages & find it" like um nope do your job. When I asked for her name and the employees name she was hesitant to give me there names , I like TD & this is sad. The manager should not be the manager and that employee should be fired since it's only her that people have this problem with. I will not be returing back to this place ever & I actually am so upset that I want to cancel my account with TD in general.

I could not help but laugh at the accuracy of the review before mine. The exact same negative experience he had was the same I received. The manager is dismissive, does not like to help you and is down right rude. I am an extremely calm and collected person when it comes to customer service as I work in the industry myself, however this service was down right unprofessional. Upon entering not a single person was smiling and everyone looked depressed to be there. I had an issue at another location I needed resolved at this location. I had another location call in and this location said they would have no problem helping me. After re-explainng myself to the manager who basically looked like a grouch with no care in the world to assist me, she asked me to take a seat. I explained the line was long and that if she could just call the other location we could get my situation resolved right away. She instead dismissed me like it was nothing and said I would have to wait so she could help others. I ended up calling the other location and figuring out the miscommunication myself. It turns out in the end she said she couldn't do anything for me when in doubt she most definitely could but didn't want to. I understand banks get busy but I am a customer like any other and deserve the same level of customer service. Something so simple turned into a complicated situation. The staff and management needs to be re-evaluated.

I asked and was promised to be given a specific letter (which I needed rightway) before I deposit. But later, the branch manager said, we don't have time to do that now and asked me to wait indefinitely. After waiting half an hour, she refused it all together. And instead of apologizing for the promise they couldn't fullfill, she just said it was a communication gap. Worst experience ever in a canadian bank branch. Unprofessional clerks and a manager with an attitude. Never can I take that risk again.
