so.. I use 3 banks, us bank, wells fargo and tcf. well, it's not that us bank or wells fargo is super nice but tcf has the worst customer service. They never smile nor thank for my business with them. ill be leaving this bank soon. they do not deserve my business.

I needed to get change for my business, and they were very unhelpful, and hostile. I've been at this TCF before, and other TCF's before where I have gotten change without a problem. This time, however, they tell me that the last person made a mistake and that they are supposed to charge a $1 or something for me to get change. I told them that this is for a business and that if they charge me, my register would be out of balance, but of course they don't care. I left, and went to US bank, where they were able to help me, and I was treated like a customer, rather than a number. Save your time, and go to US bank instead.

I had a particularly long transaction which they handled fine. But they don't have a public restroom Wtf

I'm shocked at how poorly this particular branch is run. The branch manager would not even speak to my wife and I, and the teller was one of the rudest people I have ever met. We have been account holders for over 20 years and have 2 checking accounts active. One of the accounts over drafted by $15 dollars. Somehow we missed it, our fault, but because we have 2 linked accounts the closed BOTH accounts without a courtesy notice. This branch manager told her teller that we could not reopen the account, branch policy. The manager never got out of the office to even look at our account or speak to us! I have a friend who works at TCF corporate and with one phone call got everything restored with no issue, and an apology for the banks mistake. This branch will NEVER get a positive review from me, and I run an extremely large business across the street from this location. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE customer service!!
