Tavern On the Falls

Beautiful sunsets, view of the falls and great ambiance. The menu has changed this year, for the better in my opinion. There is definately more food options. Nice upgrades to the seating areas. A great little spot for date night, after work drinks or chilling with friends. Be prepared that drinks are on the expensive side. See my pics for full menu.

This is an amazing place with friendly staff but the VIEWS are spectacular. Especially around sunset and the food looks amazing too. I didn't eat when I was here just drinks but the sausages looked fantastic. I will definitely come here on a date with my gf and maybe my wife too!!

Dog friendly patio space with a nice view. Great service and perfect drinks for a hot and sunny day. The food took a bit longer than expected to arrive and quite difficult to find a parking space nearby. But we enjoyed the experience.

Ambiance: Amazing! good background music, pleasant decor, friendly staff, a great view and an awesome sunset. Service: Some of the best service I've had in a while: 1. The server was friendly and attentive, but not intrusive, we never had to flag him or call for his attention, as he was always available somehow. 2. Both food and drink took less than 5 minutes to show up after ordering, and it was consistent even though the place was full. Food: The quality was good, great taste and enough to hold you over, enought to "munch" but not "eat" Prices: a bit overpriced, but not prohibitive, expect to spend around $50/person for some foor a couple drinks

Lovely spot close to the waterfalls, beautiful view, amazing and friendly service. Jess did a nice job to welcome us and let us taking pictures. The food is simply the best quality. I recommend it to everyone

A 10 on 10 for location. It is placed right beside the rideau falls and offers a spectacular view of the ottawa river and parliament hill area. Evening would be the best time to visit in summer because it gets quite hot on the patio on a warm sunny summer day. Best place to have a drink and enjoy the view. Food options are limited though. The best sellers happen to be tacos and hot dogs.

Gorgeously outdoor patio space with amazing views to Rideau falls, river, lac leamy park and most important of all “ SUN SET”. Fore warn: the drinks and food are slightly pricier than most but it is really worth it!! Ambiance and setting: lounge sofas and seats. Great for party of 2 as well as party of 10. Comfy and stylish. Free parking: across Sussex, all perpendicular street have plenty of free parkings. Just walk across. Amazing view: I don’t think there is another place where you can get :Rideau falls or any water fall and lac leamy park and Outaouais river. As it sits high up, the view the the fall is even nicer. Most importantly , the sun set, is just al the right height and position so you can enjoy the full hour of orange sun glow on your face without feeling sun burned !!! Bathroom: clean and chic. I know it is odd but I think a clean toilette says a lot for a place!! Table fire pit: after dark, the table cover is removed and you can enjoy fire pit altogether to warm up your face !!! Just Live band: they have live band play here a few nights a week. Look up on Facebook or instagram to get specific details as it changes. Finally service: perhaps this they can improve as our server constantly walking by and ignoring our orders….. we were 10 and stayed from 18h-21h30. There was always someone needed something but it took very long to get serviced. However, unparalleled location and amazing views top everything !!

Nice spot with a great view. Great for having drinks and some small bites and then keep on exploring the Ottawa River trail. The service was quick and it is dog friendly! My dog was in the shade and although we had our own portable water bowl, they also have doggy bowls for water by the bar service area. The food is most limited to shareable snacks, bowls, and hot dogs. But it's enough for a quick stop to rest and enjoy the view.

Food was good. Hot dogs and tacos. Not too many options to choose from, but that can be good too! The tables are a bit too close, like they tried to fit as many as possible in the space. I would have liked things a bit more spread out. It felt a bit cramped couldn't pull chairs out all the way because they would hit the people sitting behind us. More of a young person vibe louder music, more of a lounge/patio than Tavern at the gallery, which is much bigger and separated tables under beautiful lighted trees.

This is a lovely outdoor restaurant with gorgeous views and a good selection of drinks. As for food, you can get such items as gourmet hot dogs, tacos, kimchi, and shareable plates. I tried the Tijuana hot dog cheese, pico de gallo, crushed tortillas, and the Backyard hot dog BBQ pulled pork, bacon bits, slaw, crispy onion. Although pricier than the average hot dog, both were excellent, and in my view well worth the price. A fantastic place to eat in a beautiful part of town.
