Story

Tavern II is the sister restaurant to the Church Street Tavern, one of Burlington’s top destination spots since 1995. Tavern II features extensive beer and wine selections, as well as some of the best and most affordable pub food in town.

Much more than a typical sports bar, the Tavern’s menu has a little something for everyone including homemade soups, mouthwatering half-pound beef burgers (all fixings included) and several signature entrée salads.

Great spot. Good food and beer selection. Locally owned. Friendly staff. Good sports selection on multiple TV's at the bar. Will definitely be making this a regular lunch spot.

Amazing hamburgers and the sweet potato fries are so yummy. Light and bright for a midday meal. Fast take out. I don't know about the bar. Not a drinker but again..the food is really good and priced right

Went there late afternoon. Not a bad place. Had a beer and chilli. Service was good. Food was good. There were few customers which made it appear empty. Regulars started coming in when I was leaving. I need to go back at a busier time.

They have such a great location with the potential to be a solid restaurant and the service is decent. It’s too bad the food is sub par..they advertise “hand cut NY strip” on the sandwich. As soon as it came out I could tell it was from a vacuum sealed bag. I asked if it was actually hand cut and I was told it wasn’t. It was also a very cheap cut of “NY strip” there was very little marbling and quite frankly it tasted like sirloin. The tarragon mayo was tasty, along with the side of veggies. It’s too bad the owners take cheap shortcuts in the kitchen.. I will not eat here again.

They were off their game tonight...We ordered: spirit, ice tea...mozzarella sticks (app)...hotdog (came with plan cops, and pickle slices) the Rachel (coleslaw, turkey, cheese, Russian dressing, on seeded rye bread, toasted), with waffle fries as the side. Second order was burger with no onions, with mushrooms, with sweet potato fries as side and cottage cheese (as side). Took at least 30 minutes to get our meals after our appetizer. The ice tea was empty and sitting next to the plates and the waitress never asked if we wanted more to drink. Once asked she did refill it. Then when pour meals came out they were less than impressive. The bigger that was supposed too be med-well was a charcoal brickette, the waffle fries and the Rachel were cold and hard. Again not to impressed.
