It's rare that you come across food that makes your heart smile. I've never had taste of Lagos, but this place can bring those true spices of Nigeria to life. Food is sooo good that your taste buds start dancing to the beats of this place. Never tasted such a tender chicken, the rice is bright yet speaks of volume about the chef's magic. The atmosphere is soothing, your life takes a spin past that entrance door. Welcomed by a team who speaks from heart, and serves with passion. No wonder why they been listed in multiple times in popular pages like Hamilton spectator. The spectacular service is nothing like I've seen before, it's served with a certain tone of love! It makes you fall in love with place just as the food. I find that this is one of the most underrated place in Hamilton. This is what I like about local business, they put their heart and soul to provide the best one could possibly offer. It's so original that you can feel it through their food and service. This is what makes you eat with confidence. Tolagos! You've went beyond what meets the eyes! This is it, my go to place for rich tasty food! This is insane! Insane that I can't preach this enough!!! Thank you for making Hamilton proud!
This was one of the most wonderful dining experiences I’ve ever had in my life. Even though I had never had Nigerian food before, I was overwhelmed with the feeling of home that only food cooked with love can provide. The jollof rice with chicken was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten in my life. It was perfectly spicy with the right hint of sweetness. We also tried pounded yams and soup of the day which was less spicy but equally as delicious. The owners were lovely and made us feel so welcomed. I will eat here every time I visit Hamilton and recommend you do the same! You will not regret it.
I am always proud to see Nigerian entrepreneurs like Funmise & Victoria doing their thing. I enjoyed the food so much that I will be returning to purchase more from them. Taste of Lagos does a good job of bringing Nigerian flavours to Hamilton. Great job, keep up the good work!
I am giving them some stars because the service was good but the peppered goat meat I bought was more than 60% bone. So I literally wasted my money. That was all I ate, but I did bought other meals for those I there, one of them didn't like the fried rice.
So embarrassing as I take my Nigerian husband to a restaurant to have a little taste of home! He was served sour jollof rice and was not impressed. Service was good, but this did not taste like authentic NIGERIAN FOOD to me!!! Plus the food was highly overpriced for small portions
Can confirm, tastes like Lagos <3 Suya steak is good value, good sized portion. Was reluctant because no reviews. I'm happy to be the first. Try for yourself!
Never the person to give a negative review but If I could give zero star I would. Drove all the way from Mississauga after the system told me to come at a certain time 30 mins. Got there, and was told that I have to wait for another 32 mins and the lady wasn't even nice and sympathetic about the whole situation and even stormed off seemingly getting upset. If anything I should be upset driving from Mississauga. Anyways it's life.
I got a too good to go dish labelled as a meal that was $6.99. I got a single chicken thigh and a cup of rice. How is that valued at $23 regularly? My first time being disappointed by a too good to go order, especially one on the higher price range. I will not order from them again.
I went for the goat pepper soup after smelling it on a delivery. It has a bite, but it's spicy & flavourful, not hot. A little pricey, but sourcing fresh food items is too. Large portion. Absolutely delicious.
So good. Had a rice dish with goat and it was fantastic. Service was also great.
