My favourite butter croissant in Toronto! Though it does require a bit of work, I assure you it's worth it. To secure this delicious treat, you must preorder the pastries days in advance for a two-hour pick-up window on Saturday. From the perfectly flaky exterior to the buttery and rich interior, this croissant is truly a masterpiece.
I've wanted to try their pastries for a few months now and finally made it in time for ordering but also for the pick up. I tried three different baked goods and it is the balance of flaky crunchy outside and soft chewy buttery inside that I love in croissants. Tastes great fresh but it tastes good reheated the next day too. I wish I live around the corner so I could buy it every week even though it is slightly pricier than some other places. It is worth every hype in both quality and taste.
Tasso has the best croissants! You will thank me, I’ve tried everything on their menu and especially the strawberry croissants is absolutely amazing. They’re open for pre orders on Monday and pick up is Saturday! You would definitely get addicted.
To say we had high expectations is not saying enough. Our pastries were pre-ordered on Monday yes, Monday! and with each waking day, the anticipation was growing and growing, reaching fever pitch today. We have a young family, so 7am breakfast is the norm; that being said, we mentally prepared to eat a late breakfast brunch I guess..? and it was definitely worth it. It’s not very often that our expectations are surpassed, but these croissants are outrageously good. Crunchy, flaky, soft on the inside, we could go on and on. It’s only open for two hours and there was a bit of a line up thanks goes to wife for lining up!, but it was all worth it! Can’t wait to try them again soon.
Absolutely love this place! I stumbled on this bakery after searching tirelessly for the perfect kouign amann. I have been going to this bakery for the last 5 months and have tried everything on their menu. From Butter croissant, ham and cheese croissant, pain au chocolate to Chausson Aux Pommes, cinnamon bun and cardamom Kouign Amann. Everything is buttery, flaky, and delicious. Nothing is too sweet or intense. You have to place an order before hand, on Tuesdays at 9am they sell out very quickly and it's ready for pickup from 10am til 12:30 on SATURDAYS ONLY. You want to get there early though because there's usually a line up. I have enjoyed supporting this local business these last couple of months and will continue to do so. Their baked goods are always fresh out of the oven and aromatic. If you have the time, switch over to this bakery. Pictures speak for itself.
One of the best bakeries in Toronto. Goes toe to toe with Emmer Bakery. If you're looking to get a butter croissant or a chocolate croissant. This is the place to do it on the East end of Toronto. Worth the wait all week.
Incomparable in every way with a definitive taste of excellence, Tasso's croissants are the best in Toronto. While at times it seems impossible to place an order, with dedication and loyalty you will find a way like I have. I cannot imagine a Saturday morning without croissants from Tasso. These beautiful and delicious pastries are pure joy, luxury, and a tasting experience all in one and they make amazing gifts for people who have yet to try them. Over the year, I have diversified my weekly orders to try other baked goods from Tasso, which my family and friends have throughly enjoyed, but the croissants keep me coming back for more and will continue to for years to come.
Pretty blown away by the pastries, I was told I had to try this spot cause I was looking for an amazing croissant, but each pastry was better than the next! I think I ate 5 in one afternoon lol
I discovered this place thanks to chef Romain Avril’s Toronto croissant reviews and this lovely duo lives up to the reputation! I’m from Montreal and have been on the quest to find a local place to satisfy my weekend craving for fresh croissant, and this is it! Everything was delicious, both the classic one and the chocolate croissants were buttery, flaky, and left me wanting more. The cinnamon bun was also delectable! Will order again for sure!
Ascended to heaven tasting Tasso’s cardamom kouign amann.. all pastries worth the wait and can’t wait to see what else will pop up in the menu
