Taqueria Kopitos

This is my new favorite restaurant. Everything is delicious. The staff is helpful and amazing. I love this restaurant. They also have good hot sauce. It's been my experience that in some places it's not hot enough or tastes bad. But not here, it's hot enough and delicious. My only regret is I wish I would have come into this place sooner.

The reviews here are dead on. Fabulous tacos with handmade tortillas. Best I've had! You want better? You might have to go to Mexico. Nothing fancy. Just good food and solid portions for a reasonable price

Best Mexican food I have had in a long time. Real home style cooking fresh and well made. Prices are great for the portions. A burrito is actually a burrito sized meal. Try it you'll love it.

We ordered a Cubana Torta (beef milanesa, ham, sausage, pineapple) and two Pork Tamales. The food was not as good as it could have been. The sausage was a sliced hotdog. If it had been described as a hotdog I would have ordered something else. Other than the hotdog the Torta was decent. The pork in the tamales was very good. Unfortunately the masa was not. It was soggy, tasteless and overcooked. I am used to tamales holding together enough that they can be eaten by hand. These could barely be kept on a fork. The Carniçeria had excellent Chorizo, and good looking pastor and various chicken options. We bought some Chorizo and it tastes as good as it looks. Why the meals were so bad with such good meat right there I don't know.

Lady at the counter was cranky, the service was slow, and the food was the worst my husband and I have ever eaten in a Mexican restaurant. His torta Cubana was supposed to have sausage, ham, beef milanesa, and pineapple. The "sausage was HOT DOGS! I would have expected chorizo or something similar, but never Hot Dogs! It looked unappealing and tasted bland, even with jalapenos. As for me, I had pork tamales, even though I wanted a carnitas burrito. They were out of carnitas. Apparently they only have it on weekends. The meat in the tamales was fine, but the mass was so soggy, it was more like eating pudding! This was our first time there, and I guarantee it will be our last.
