TAO Vietnamese Cuisine

Been here a couple times over the years and more so since they opened up after covid. Restaurant is super close to my office and I crave Vietnamese frequently. Honestly this is some of the best Vietnamese I've ever had. Portions are fantastic and I've often times had to take left over. Staff has always been pleasant and friendly. I can pop over here on my 1 hour lunch break and get a great meal and be back in the office in a timely fashion.

Tasty food - rude service. I walked in the front door 15 minutes before my scheduled pickup time for take out. I smiled and said " Hi there, I'm here for a skip the dishes order, but I'm really early - so I'll just wait, no rush! " The lady at the front said ok and went in the back - she re-emerged with a man who said " YOU ARE EARLY, TOO EARLY, THE ORDER ISN'T READY". I told him the same thing I had already told the first person and said not to worry I wasn't in any sort of rush. The place was empty so I'm not sure why 3 salad rolls was going to take them an hour to make anyhow . Anyways I was scolded once again when I went to leave, " Next time look at the pickup time". The food was good but I was pretty annoyed by the overreaction on their part. I also received one blown out salad roll, likely an F U of sorts, for sitting patiently while they made my order.

Asked for charbroiled ground beef, pork and shrimp and literally was just given hotdogs instead. Called them and they say that's what's normally served. Literally never gotten this type of meat when ordering elsewhere

Love Vietamese Pho Noodles Ordered their house special and it came very quickly. It has rare Beef, beef flank, tendon, tripe and beef balls. Portion is huge, lots of stuff and lots noodles and love the soup base. Reasonable price and great services. Would definitely come back with my girls so we can order different food to share.

Having visited this place at 6pm maybe things would have been different earlier on. The food seemed like it had been sitting around a while. Not terrible but also not very appetizing.

Good Viet restaurant in downtown. Pricing is acceptble- pho is about $15 as of Aug 2022. Usually busy around 12. Order in advance is recommended if you want to try their coffee with condense milk. Their beef and pork sub are also delicious!

For the past 2.5 years during Covid, I supported Toa whenever I can. I ordered food for all my staff and gave them good tips; even though they were takeout. I was really happy to learn that they have reopened for dine-in, so I invited 2 staff to join me for lunch today. Not only was the service poor, the server ignored our table. They took their time to take our orders, and not once did they come by to refill our water. I will not be returning to them as I have decided to support other restaurants who truly appreciate my business.

Very good salad rolls. Order ready in under 10 minutes. Delicious. I definitely recommend this place and will be back.

Excellent place for lunch. Good food, speedy service, great prices for downtown. Glad to see they survived COVID. Food is as good as always. Starting to get back to normal. Service is a little slower due to staffing issues, but it remains a great place to eat. Food quality remains as good as always.

This place is great for meetings, friends or a quick lunch. The staff are friendly, service is fast and efficient, and the food is consistently good. Having eaten here dozens of times it’s a solid offering in downtown Calgary. The vegetarian menu is good and I’ve never had a bad meal. :
