Takumi Sushi House

First time order take out from this Japanese restaurant. They have very good and fresh sashimi. For sushi, the rice is too mushy, if they can improve this part that would be great. I do not recommend tempura - the dough was not good taste and texture. They gave 2 complimentary miso soups for our first time order. I like their service, very polite and friendly. Price is reasonable. Hope they improve the quality of rice and tempura. We will definitely try once again in future. Overall 3.5 stars.

I decided to try this restaurant because of its glowing reviews. And it's all true! The food is really wonderful! Everything was fresh and tasted delicious! I got a $50 combo, Mango Tango roll and miso soup - everything was AMAZING! Miso soup wasn't a powder premixed soup, like the majority of places would make. Sushi was big, very meaty, less rice and freshly done. Mango Tango is an interesting combination of fruit and fish. My new favorite now.

today i got the chiarashi don! i ordered takeout at the restaurant and it was ready in about 5-10 minutes since they just opened. the value is so good; 12 slices of assorted sashimi on a bed of sushi rice for just $18.95. with tax it came to around $21.50. it was soooo worth it. the salmon and tuna pieces were INSANE! such thick and fresh cuts that melted in my mouth. it was delicious with soy sauce and the furikake they sprinkled on. i will for sure be back to try their other dons!

I'm shocked that a sushi place exists up here in Aurora that has both quality fish and fair prices! Two highlights I had to share: I had a giant, tasty dinner bento box that was only ~$18, and in a sushi combo we ordered, we got semi-fat tuna Chutoro that I would have never expected outside ordering it a la carte. I would seriously recommend Takumi for a nice Japanese meal.

Took my boyfriend here tonight for his birthday, and what a treat we were in for! Not only was the food and presentation delightful, the friendly staff overhead me mention the birthday and surprised us with a special birthday dessert We are looking forward to coming back soon. Only ordered a Maki tray so I can only speak to that, but fast service, great price, and a lot of filling in the rolls! The rice around the rolls is thin so you get more of the filling, be it the fish or vegetables etc, which is great! :- Personally, would have liked the rice a bit more seasoned with more sushi vinegar or whatnot, but different strokes for different folks. Still an enjoyable experience overall!

I went here with a friend during a snowstorm, the employees were so nice and our server complimented us, the shrimp tempura was amazing and so was the sushi, we ordered the spicy and regular crab rolls. The spicy crab rolls were our favourite and they even went the extra mile and put some crunchy breading in our sushi when we asked for that even though it doesn’t regularly come with the sushi and for $22 this place makes it worth your while. Since there was a snowstorm we had to stay inside for a while and the employees were so understanding about it! Will definitely be coming back here.

In my opinion this particular sushi restaurant is the best I’ve been to in a very long time! Amazing fresh food and very friendly staff. The restaurant is very clean and the washrooms are maintained and always clean. Love this place! Vegetarian options: Many dishes in the menu. Kid-friendliness: The chefs and staff are very friendly and are very familiar with the menu and can assist you in making up your mind if you ask for assistance. We order from here all the time. Fair and excellent prices they’re very friendly and customer service based. We’ve tried almost every sushi roll that they have and can highly recommend any of them. My children particularly like the golden California roll and the eel rolls. Dynamite roll, tempura yam and spicy crunch roll are excellent! can be very busy so factor that if you have a large order. Highly recommended sushi shop.

This restaurant is set up great for pick up. They are prompt and the sushi is good. We've gone back multiple times.Food: 4/5
