Cotolet Premium Cutlet

Excellent food! We got a good rundown of the menu and enjoyed the meal, which had a variety of meats and sauces. I really liked the cheese and spicy red sauce combo as well as the soy sauce karaage. The yuzu fish was also very soft and delicious, albeit a little more on the sweet side. The brown sauce is CLASSIC and great along with pork & rice & salad. Unfortunately prices are a bit higher but a good stop for quality food.

Food is delicious and well priced. The atmosphere is very chill and they play nice music. On a Saturday night most of the tables were filled, but the servers can barely keep up with servicing the tables. Great food for the price! The bulgogi pasta was a pleasant surprise, the sweetness really came through in the cream sauce. We also ordered the brick cheese that was overwhelmingly cheesy, but delicious with the accompanying sauce. Cutlets were all freshly made and would highly recommend!Food: 5/5

Have been to Cotolet numerous times and it has become my go-to spot for Katsu dishes. Food is all solid however I would always recommend the seafood cream sauce with pork loin. Bulgogi cream pasta is also tasty if you're looking for something with noodles, and the karaage is also solid. Service is friendly and the restaurant has an appealing appearance. I have been a regular before COVID and their food and service holds up to time.

Great service and good food. Portions are large. Deep fried breaded meat. Crumbs are made in-house from freshly baked bread daily in-house. Recommend asking for the sauce to be served on the side instead of on top of the breaded meat. Two reasons: 1the sauce takes away from the crispy texture of the deep fried breaded batter- 2 the sauce is rich and can be a tad overwhelming.

Happy to find such delicious katsu uptown in Richmond Hill near the H mart. Portion is huge and between the 5 of us we have one whole piece of pork left which we packed home which we reheated in the oven and still tasted good! My older boy ordered the pasta as pictured and don’t let the color fool you, it is spicy! Would like to see Japanese curry added to the list of sauces available, but plain katsu Japanese style on its own is all good too! If you love cheese like we do, be sure to add the brick cheese as a side, it’s to die for! Not heavy at all

Cozy and clean environment. Excellent customer service! Beautiful presentation, crispy chicken and pork cutlet with juicy and tender meat. The Cotolet’s house sauce made with various vegetables and fruits & Basic traditional Japanese style sauce were so good, perfectly match the dishes. Just personal preference that the music is a little bit too loud but did not affect the overall rating to the restaurant. Highly recommended and will be back for sure

This is my first visit. The service is amazing. They recommend the sauce selection in which they are the perfect match! I am stunned by the quality of the Katsu. With my experience as Katsu lover, I would say it is very very very close to domestic top Japan restaurant quality. Due to cost increase, they did not make tenderloin Katsu anymore! I wish they can make it as a daily limited supply dish. During pandemic, we cannot go to visit Japan. This restaurant is a perfect substitute. According to the staff, those breads are used to make bread crumbs by themselves. Wow! The sauces are excellent pairing with the Katsu.

One of the best donkatsu restaurants in the GTA!! The dining room is clean, modern and the tables are set wide apart. The waitress checked our vaccine records first thing and we left our info by doing a digital scan. We ordered pork loin with brown sauce and it’s super crispy and tender. The white sauce see pictures contains peanut so if you have allergy, do advise the server to skip the white sauce. They made the breading in house and it’s one of a kind good! Pay with cash to get 10% discount.

Beautiful Japanese restaurant! Food was absolutely delicious. We got the pork loin and the brick cheese and both were Staff were really nice and accommodating. They'll give you a run down of their restaurant if it's your first time. Fair warning to anyone looking for a cheaper place though, there are few sub $20 options here. But the portion sizes do make up for it. Parking: GPS might direct you to the wrong parking lot, keep an eye out for the entrance as you get closer.
