Poutine was just ok. Had much better. Nathan's hot dog was horrible. Microwaved right in front of you. So misleading when they advertise about Nathan's Worlds Best when they just throw it in the microwave. Would it not make sense to have 6 or 10 ready for the day? Or 2 ready if that's all you sell in a day. Either way a disappointment. It went right in the garbage. Place was not very clean and the girl behind the counter handles food, money, etc with no gloves and do sent was her hands after dealing at the cash. Can't say I'll ever go back.
This place has such good potential. I just tried it today at lunch and I felt like I needed to write a review for whoever goes there in the future. Their fries are delicious and fresh, but make sure you ask for them lightly salted, or not salted at all because their gravy is so salty you feel like you need a drink of water after every bite. I would really recommend asking for only half a scoop of gravy on a regular size poutine and just under a full scoop on a large.. otherwise they'll put two full scoops on both. Even if you normally like a lot of gravy, theirs is so salty you just feel sick. I really like that they use real cheese curds, and although their hot dogs taste great, its a fair bit disappointing to pay $4 for a microwaved hot dog.
This is not a dine-in restaurant. You order the food and take it elsewhere to consume. Good portions of poutine, with some variety in toppings. The cardboard containers will start to get soggy, but they're fully enclosed, to prevent a mess while transporting. Looks like they cut their potatoes fresh in the store.
Terrible experience beginning to end!! First off the menu they gave me looked like it had been walked on. The service was terrible and the place have zero atmosphere and was freezing. Took 20 minutes to make three orders that cost $32 and portions were very small!! To top it off the food was cold when we go it and they had no salt, vinegar, or really any condiments to speak of. All three went in the garbage after two bites. Will not return.
OUT OF BUSINESS. Locks changed by landlord. I used to love the pulled pork poutine here. Got the surprise when I tried calling to place my order on my drive there and got a "mail box" and arrived to a note from the bailiff on the door.
Take out only. Staff is great and fries are really good, but gravy is really salty. Be sure to get there before the high school lets out for lunch.
Very good quality poutine!! Better than NY fries, McDonald's, A&W etc.... plus they serve larger quantities.
They were out of bacon... oh and the crepe I ordered was gross. I elected not to eat it despite spending over $10 on it after tax. Not impressed.
Always great and delicious poutine. Very consistent quality and flavour of their dishes.
I've had better poutine elsewhere, and the hotdog was barely warmed through. Wouldn't recommend stopping here.
