Tailwinds Georgian Bay is an amazing getaway that perfectly captures the charm and beauty of the bay. The scenic views are breathtaking, and it’s an ideal spot for relaxing and reconnecting with nature. Comfort food is a must try!! It’s a fantastic choice for anyone looking to enjoy the serenity of Georgian Bay with comfortable, inviting lodgings. Highly recommended for a memorable escape!
Nothing exciting about the food we had. Fish and chips served without coleslaw. After I asked for that, I realized it was the most tasteless coleslaw I've ever had, something like slightly boiled cabbage with no dressing and no spices. Added some vinegar and salt to make it more attractive.nSame applies for the pickerel order @32$, served with steamed slices of carrots ??!! and mashed potatoes... no acidity in this mix to make the dish more balanced. One slice of lemon just didn't compensate enough the fried fish grease actually, the fish was cooked perfectly.nService was slow despite the fact there were 3 servers around. One of them super busy, she did her best to look after us, the other two... not sure.
Nice food with excellent patio setting next to the docks. You can see the train passing and the seaplane in action. We ordered the catfish sandwich and the brisket sandwich. The catfish was excellent in my opinion, but my wife didn't like it. Its an acquired taste for some, i recommend for the experience... caught in Ontario. The brisket is large and yummy. Choice of cut fries or sweet potato fries at the same price. Friendly on demand servers.
On our first night in Muskoka we decided to head into Parry Sound and based on reviews, location and the full patio we decided on Tailwinds Bar and Grill on Georgian Bay in Parry Sound, Ontario, Canada. Everyone was on the patio so that’s where we Sat. A beautiful evening right on the harbour looking out to Georgian Bay. The staff were engaged and attentive even with being busy. We ordered, enjoyed our drinks and the view including a train coming over the historic bridge and some float planes. Our mains were fresh and on point including the chicken sandwich, smoked meat poutine and Chicken Parmesan. Tailwinds is more than a safe bet based on the atmosphere, service and food. See you next time, Chris >
We were very pleased with our time at The Tailwind. We only had some light fare: onion soup, a Bloody Ceasar, and a single order of french fries. The onion soup and fries are made in-house and were excellent. The drink was very tasty.nnWe ate on the outside patio. From the patio you can see the float plane used for sightseeing, as it moors right at the bottom of the patio. You can also see the 30,000 Islands cruise ship as it is moored across from the patio.nnThe server was very pleasant and attentive, in spite of her having a number of tables to look after.nnThe menu included burgers, fish, salads, and appetizers. The prices were quite reasonable for what is a bit of an upscale restaurant.nnIf you're visiting Parry Sound, Ontario, I heartily recommend patronizing this establishment, based on my experience.
