There is so much selection for Asian food and convenience items. It is a great store. I really love sticky rice and I love their buffets. You can buy hot or cold made ready food on the spot. They have microwaves and tables and chairs to consume and enjoy!
Average experience. Tried buying some products from here, mostly focused on meat. The fish was good. Purchased a few crab and other fish. The customer service was also not bad, cut it out for me as requested. Pretty quick as well. But I also got some packages of Beef, prepackaged with expiry date of about 1.5 weeks to go. When I got home and opened the beef, it was rotten on the back side. 3 stars for the service and fresh seafood products. The beef took the 2. Located within the West Ed Mall.
Busy place and loud even on a weekday morning / afternoon but it’s that type of a large department type store. They carry stuff you may not find at other stores and can be fun if you’re in the mood for exploring - if you’re just there for errands can be infuriating with the crowds and busy-ness of it all
I was at tnt yesterday with my kids. We did not use any shopping bag so we were just holding the items in our hands. At the self serve checkout, I started scanning the items but since we have our hands full I was not able to put the items in our recycling bag after scanning. There was 1 item that wouldn't get scanned, without asking for help a cashier came and tried scanning the item too but wouldn't work so she used her scanning gun instead. Since the cashier ended up scanning the rest I decided to bag the items but before I could do that the cashier grabbed the item from my hand and rudely said, No you haven't paid yet. I told her I won't run away. I saw the other customers bag their groceries after scanning so why are we different? I did not see any sign on the cashier area that it is prohibited to bag your groceries without paying. Big grocery chains like Walmart, Superstore, No friils even Ikea allow you to bag your items after scanning. Also, if a person plans to.steaI something they would not waste their time and effort in lining up at the cashier, scanning the groceries and just run away. It does not make any sense. I hope TNT can remind or re-train their staff about the rules at the checkout. The rules that would apply to everyone not just to one person.
I enjoy the self serve Chinese style food. They also have a lot of varieties you might not be aware of.
