Syringa Cafe

We ate supper there on September 28, 2017. The meal, as usual, was excellent. We ordered huckleberry pie for dessert; at $6.50 a slice we thought it was pretty pricey, but did it anyway. When the bill came the cost of the pie was now $7.75. To me, $6.50 was a stretch; we'd have passed on it at $7.75. I asked the waitress about it and was told that the price had changed. I allowed that my menu showed $6.50. The waitress said that "we must have missed changing some menus". I think this is pretty shoddy business practice, kind of like a bait-and-switch. We like the food and the setting, but have an aversion to being chiseled. We probably won't be back.

Syringa Cafe was recommended to me and I wasn't disappointed. I ordered the Rib Steak and it came with Soup and Salad. The portion size was great and the cost was reasonable. The Waitresses were friendly and made me feel at home. I even got to witness the local Home Coming Parade while I was there. By the way, the Pineapple Sundae was excellent. Diffidently will stop when I pass by here again.
