Kates Cattlemen's Restaurant

Stopped in after backpacking in seven devils and loved getting such tasty food and personal service from the gals. Kate gave us tomatoes and lettuce straight out of her garden and the huckleberry cobbler and ice cream sure hit the spot after 4 days on the dusty trail! Thanks Kate!

Worst service or maybe no service would be a better statement. We came in and sat down, and were asked to move to the back because they might have bigger party come in. That was no problem, but then after accommodating them, we had absolutely nobody come wait on us. We got up to leave after waiting and not one staff member said anything. They were not busy at all, only a couple tables, but we weren't locals so why would they want our money?

We were traveling through Riggins, early at 6:00 am, after being on the road since 4:30am when we noticed that the Cattlemen's Family Restaurant was open, so we stopped by. When we first walked in, we immediately felt "at home" with the family pictures, warm atmosphere and the welcoming decor! When we ordered our breakfast, the owner, Kate, was so nice. I have a food allergy and she was so understanding, patient & helpful, as I ordered my meal. When our food was served, we were all so pleased with the freshness of the food! When we tried it...everything was delicious! It was like eating at "mom's house" with the "love & care" that mom gives when preparing our favorite foods! I will definitely eat there again! Kate & her restaurant is a TEN - "10" in my book...and I'm a pretty picky eater!! Thank you Kate, for making our visit to Riggins, Idaho a memorable and warm one!

Amazing personality comes out of this restaurant. If I ever have the pleasure of visiting Riggins again, I know I'll be eating here. The breakfast menu is delicious, and the food is served up very quick.

Our breakfast was delicious, just like mom's, cost was very reasonable, and service was excellent. Our server/owner was friendly, professional, and caring. I will most definitely return to Kate's Cattlemen's in Riggin's every time I go through Riggins, Idaho. Thank you Kate for a wonderful experience.
