Very lovely place to relax and have fun. If you are looking for a spot that is good for kids, parents, and pets, then this is the one you are looking for. We can swim, take boats, and tubes into the lake to have fun. There are also some water activities and boat rentals available. Washrooms and change rooms are also available, and the maintenance is also good. There are some decent restaurants around the town. Paid parking is available across the street, and many spots around.
Probably my favorite beach in Alberta traveled here from Edmonton about an hour and a half drive, but come at least five times a year to do some jet skiing. The weather was perfect. The atmosphere was always nice and clean and they had the Battle of the beaches this weekend which added an extra vibe. I wish there an event on the beach every weekend playing music. It was awesome and everybody loved it.
The park has a beautiful grass area to sit and enjoy the lake-view. It’s a fun place with family and friends. There is also a light house to watch around.
This magnificent lake park offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of the urban life without leaving the city. The lush greenery, majestic botanicals, gentle wind breeze, the iconic light house, local cafès, pubs and restaurants, breathtaking sunsets, and calm, beautiful lake... it's the perfect place for picnics, jogging, or simply unwinding with nature. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat to re energize, re calibrate, relax, and rejuvenate. Can't wait to revisit .
As an Ontarian who grew up on Lake Huron, we found this beach to be quite a change from what we are used to—it feels more like a puddle in comparison, and doesn’t have much in the way of sand. So adjust your expectations accordingly.nDespite this, it’s a lovely spot that's not too far of a drive from Edmonton. I love taking my senior dog here; she enjoys feeling the breeze and watching people as they stroll by and have fun.nnI do wish dogs were allowed on the grass, the beach and in the water, though. I’m confident my dog is far better behaved than many of the kids running around. Unfortunately, it seems irresponsible pet owners have led to these restrictions, which is a shame. I wish they would reconsider and just issue stricter fines.nPS: Make sure to pay for parking, I’ve witnessed countless people getting $75 tickets
