Swiss Maid Bakery

My husband grew up eating Swiss Maid Bakery goods so when we got married, I'm not from anywhere around here I was introduced to them and I LOVE their items!! Their coffee cakes are the best, hands down, anywhere, and their famous round cookies.... There are no words. We have a son now and for the past 2 yrs of his life, we order those infamous cookies for his birthday parties!! As a matter of fact, we will be stopping in today to place this year's order!!!! A must go to if you are in town.

Absolutely wonderful. Everything I purchased from Penguin topped chocolate cake to the coconut moonpie things. So worth a sample. I pick up treats for coworkers and experience higher productive time, with smiles on their faces.

Swiss made provided 3 enormous and incredible trays of desserts for an event. The Turtle Brownies are the best I ever has. As a cook & baker, I highly recommend them!!! The staff is kind & a pleasure to talk to. Grab a. Eclare whike your in. Yummy!

I have been going to Swiss made for WOW 37 years and they are the ONLY place I will buy my cakes, Danish and heaven for but if I forget a Swedish Flop!!!!!! And for 27 of those years I have been driving 1 hour and 10 minutes ONE WAY!!! So if you are ever near by you have to swing in for the chicken salad sandwich on fresh soft wheat bread and a free cookie. I always get them for when I visit my mom in Woodstock!!!!!!!

A five out of five star bakery indeed as today I've had the privilege of speaking with the service counter representative Mary who was a delight to chat with. Everything here looked so good and was certainly fresh. Speaking of fresh I did contain myself as heavenly visions of a maiden godess drifted before my gaze. Mary and I spoke of the possibility of a NEW remake of the Groundhog Day movie and the fact that Bill Murry is also not only a Cubs fan but a fan of the Swiss Maid Bakery. I'm working on the 3-D storyboard today and I can certainly see why movie makers choose Woodstock as each intersection offers magic from the cast. Stop on in to the Swiss Maid Bakery here in Woodstock. You certainly will not be disappointed with the goods.

I complained that the donuts were extremely dry and this was the explanation- "We make them once a week and freeze them. When we pull them out of the freezer, we stick them in the oven for a few minutes to soften them up".When asked why they didn't make them fresh every day I was told it was because they make so many other items. Really!?! A bakery that doesn't have fresh donuts? I'm now buying fresh donuts down the street at Caseys. They must be freezing other items also because most of their samples are dry and tasteless. BTW they did have one other item that I liked which is the only reason I didn't give it just one star.

Oh boy. Eat before you come here or you will want 1 or 2 or more of all the goodies. The maple/bacon longjohn will catch your eye. And bring you back for more. The breads are fantastic and they have some that are hard to find, Swedish Limpa as an example that I bring home often.

We placed an order for a full sheet birthday cake at an affordable price and it was fantastic! My family and the guests loved the cake I will definitely be purchasing from here again.

Amazing bakery. i would choose Swiss bakery over any other place that sells donuts or pastries. The staff is beyond friendly always with a smile on their faces no matter how early it is.

The world's best donuts! Not joking, the coffee cake is delicious and their special maple bacon long John will change your life!
