Staff really nice! Called and apologized when they didn’t have an item in stock and dealt with the situation really well. Had the 5’ pecan pie, 5’ steak and ale pie, and butter tarts! Pecan was perfect. Butter tarts were so gooey and yum as well - it’s quite sweet tho just as a heads up
The staff here - amazing. The pies here - absolutely mind blowing. The butter tarts, melt in your mouth delicious. A bit expensive, but I love supporting local. Definitely recommend as an awesome cake alternative or for your holiday needs. Scrumptious!
As a lactose-intolerant person, it's hard to be able to find good pie that I can eat. My usual experience is that there's maybe 1 flavor I can eat, so I eat it, regardless of quality. Sweetie Pie was not my usual experience. When we walked in later in the afternoon, we were told that ALL the pie except for 1 flavor pecan were pies I could eat. We bought 2 different flavors in the personal pies, blueberry and strawberry rhubarb. Let it be said, this is GREAT pie. Like, FANTASTIC pie. On top of that, the employees were excellent and very friendly. And if I could give stars just for the boxes the pies were packed in, I would! The boxes have extra tabs to lock the openings in place, AND have built in handles! The attention to detail is evident, from the box to the food itself. I'll be back, that's for sure!
We hired My Sweetie Pie to be the dessert at our wedding in place of a wedding cake. They were absolutely incredible! it was such a lovely alternative for our wedding we're not huge cake people. Everybody loved the pies! With our order, we also got small to go containers so our guests could take the left overs and it was a huge hit! My Sweetie Pie made the delivery process so easy and worked into our special day seamlessly. Good people, great pie, and overall a fantastic local business. Thanks so much My Sweetie Pie!
First off the staff were very welcoming and friendly to us as we entered. It was nice to see an outside patio spot to sit and enjoy some of the food and coffee. Also walking in I was reminded if this smells like my grandmother's home with all the cooking she did and it did. The only thing I can say about the taste of the food is both my partner and myself said " oh wow '!
It is definitely on the more expensive side. But we all know you get what you pay for, and sweeties is a perfect example of that. So far I can only speak to the apple pies and cookies. So far 10/10. You can definitely tell they're baked with care and it comes through in the taste. My girlfriend asked me how it was and I jokingly told her "you can taste the love". After we had a laugh when we realized it says that on the pie box.
Friends brought me a pack of 4 butter tarts from here, I don’t have a sweet tooth and usually most of the sweet treats are just not my type. BUT! This butter tart is different!!! They are sooooooo good!! The package was cute, and the tart is just THE BEST BUTTER TART I EVER HAD in Toronto!! The crust is very flaky, the filling was smooth and moisture inside, and the top was browned evenly and crunchy. Definitely will go back and try other tarts.
Cute little bake shop and coffee shop. Lots of delicious treats and good coffee with various flavours of lattes and other specialty drinks available! Safe covid measure in place...staff are masked and limited people can enter at a time.
If you need a pie this is a place to go! Always fresh and yummy. Thank you for making lemon merengue! It’s not easy to live around the corner and resist all the goodies!
Visited Sunday, December 27th, around 330PM, and after calling them to confirm they were open , we got their voicemail. Kindly enough....probably 5 minutes later, and presumably because they were busy feeding tasty hot-chocolate to families sledding at the adjacent Bickford Park, a young woman employee called us back, advising they were indeed open. We visited and after waiting outside social distancing for about 10 minutes, we were permitted entry. We purchased 6 chocolate chip cookies at $2.65 EACH..., and two pies around $30.00 each...a freshly made LARGE Blueberry remains pictured below, and a frozen Apple to take home. We also purchased a 1 gargantuan cinnamon roll. As we were sufficiently frozen from "social-distancing"...we had 2 "Belgian Hot Chocolates", which were very good. Our total "tab" was just under $100, including $5.00 tip. We thought everything was VERY good. The staff were VERY pleasant and helpful, even writing special directions on how to heat the frozen pie we purchased. We would probably visit again. Personally, I thought the cinnamon roll was a bit frosting heavy, but was as it should be from a texture and flavor standpoint. We liked the place. :
