Diverse selection of flakey double baked croissants; almond, hazelnut, pistachio, raspberry, blueberry, and more! Lovely ambiance, such a nice spot to sit and enjoy some pastries and coffee. The owner is super welcoming and friendly, making you feel at home and relaxed.
Parisian experience in the heart of Toronto. Great service and exceptional flavours served in a lovely manner. Their baguette and sour dough was great. I highly recommend the pistachio croissant.
The croissants are so good and their service is 5 star! They really make you feel welcomed. I recommend the blueberry or raspberry croissant. They gave me a drink on the house which was so nice of them because I accidentally ordered a drink that contains nuts when I’m allergic to them haha. Would definitely come here again and I recommend it here!
Owner of this boulangerie is very sweet and kind. He offered us some plates to try our takeout orders at the shop. The pastries were delicious! This boulangerie is cozy, clean, and modern. I recommend people to visit this heartwarming shop!
Love coming to L’Avenue Boulangerie! Their pastries are delicious and always freshh! I have tried almost every croissant now. They are all very soft and fluffy. My favourite so far are their savoury pastries. The cheese/leek and the spinach/feta are must tries. There is a chewiness to the pastry and the flavours are perfect. And as always, the customer service is always exceptional.
This neatly tucked-away bakery on one of the busiest streets of North York instantly transports you into the family-run, idyllic café of your dreams, set in France. Outside, the business sets itself apart with carefully tended bouquets and pots. As you enter, the music is set to resemble the atmosphere of perhaps a Parisian or similar cafe setting, and the interior of the marble floors and tables nicely contrasts with the deep navy blue upholstery of the chairs and couches. The owner and barista are charming individuals with pleasant humour and interaction and make great conversation. It has been a mixed company throughout my two total visits so far I plan to make many more!!!; early Sunday morning was an absolute madhouse with all seats filled and a regular line, seemingly never diminishing. That made it clear that people come here with family or friends, or even for a single date, atmosphere, for the food. On Tuesday morning, however, a regular workweek workday, it was a very calm setting, and I decided to grab a seat. From the very first instance, L' avenue struck a positive impression on me, firstly with the atmosphere and decor, while bringing that over the top with the best croissants and confectionery patisserie I've ever tried. If you dine in, drinks and food are served on exquisite plates and mugs. So far, I have bought their regular, pistachio, and ham and cheese croissants - out of all of these, the MUST TRY is the pistachio, with its semi-sweet light pistachio cream filling adorned with crunchy, baked nuts along the top of the pastry. In terms of patisserie, I have had their shortbread fruit tart, which was a pleasant and balanced experience. I also loved the banana caramel whipped cream chocolate tart upon the barista's recommendation. It was something out of a 5 Star Restaurant Menu. Besides those mentioned above, they offer regular croissants, as well as caramel, chocolate, almond, raspberry, blueberry, ham and cheese, turkey and cheese, as well as pain au chocolate, and an almond variation of it as well. They offer a generous selection of carefully curated pastries by their pastry chef and multiple soups, with many, many premium hot and cold beverages. An overall MUST TRY, 10/10 gastronomic experience, L' avenue Boulangerie will have you hanging on to your purse wanting to get one of everything and spreading the word to all of your friends for an easy-going, remarkable, and unforgettable breakfast get-together.
Such an amazing, cozy bakery/cafe. The owner was so generous and friendly. The croissants perfect - the pastries were exquisite. A hidden gem!
My husband and I visited the store for the first time today, we had learned about it on Teddington park neighbourhood group where people had shared their great experiences… we now can’t agree more! Amazing ambience and hospitality. I myself am a sourdough baker, the owner spent time to explain their process to me kindly… we tried their baguette, pistachio croissant, walnut tart, and sourdough loaf, also their coffee! All great tasting and fresh… we will be back every weekend!
I had their funnel cakes, eclairs, and apricot tarts - all of which were extremely delicious! The Persian speaker manager was incredibly helpful and explained everything about their pastries in detail, which was greatly appreciated. looking forward to trying more of their pastries on my next visit!
A great coffee and an amazing pastrys look at this almonds chocolate croissant - how it's full with delicious filling. The owner and stuff are so friendly and accommodating. We will come over again and again and...
