Sushi Kanata

The food is at par for any decent sushi place. Service is slow and food doesn't come, even after reminding the staff. *update- have tried to go twice since the first time, unexpectedly closed both times? They have 2 signs in the window with their hours, and then a hand written one on the door saying they are closed

Good sushi rice and fresh fish. We have found the service has always been prompt and friendly. The menu has great variety and it is only $16 for all you can eat..great deal. I don’t know why some are complaining about service and drinks. You aren’t going here for a pinky up dining experience or to be immersed in mixology. I will say that some workers do not speak the best English which again, is expected at most Japanese restaurants.

I've been here a few times. The food has always been great and the service not so bad. We visited last weekend before checking out a movie and it was the worst experience we've had so far as far as service. My boyfriend had finished his food and wanted to order more. the staff never came back to our table after the first plates went out. I usually order spicy avocado rolls and noticed this time around that the rolls were significantly smaller. And the women's bathroom - if you can avoid it please do. Sticky, dirty, dusty floors and not just one spot - every single inch of the floor.

Sushi Kanata convinces with food of great quality for reasonable prices. There is a vast choice of different foods from soups over little snacks, Korean beaf, veal spare ribs and sushi to only mention a few options. Food quality is superior to sushi restaurants in downtown Ottawa. Service is a little bit impersonal and slow but overall still acceptable.
