Sushi Hoshimi

This place is truly a hidden gem in NDG! I've been going there regularly a couple times a month. The sushi is absolutely delicious and very fairly priced. The portions are very thick. I always order the chief's favorite it's a bang for the buck and you get a little bit of everything. This place definitely needs to stay here!

Amazing value, quality and wonderful people. Was no problem making a minor tweak to my order and got some spring rolls on the house! The ridiculous last review talking about "fridge cold unagi" tells you alot about its integrity. It actually helped convince me to order because if you gotta reach that far for a negative review the place must be good. A +

Great sushi and maki, made fresh to order. The lunch combos are great, good food and small price. I saw some negative reviews on Google where people complained about the waiting time, but we were served fast and it seems normal to wait a little when all the food is made fresh for each order, what most sushi places don't do. Also some people commented on the fact that they had trouble to be understood in English. We chatted with the charming lady of the restaurant both in French and in English and am at loss to explain the nasty comment this cool "mom and pop" sushi places has received in the past.

I’m visiting the neighborhood and was curious to see what the local restos have to offer. I ordered ~$50 worth of sushi this evening and it took over an hour to be ready. I was prepared to be patient because the gentleman who took my order seemed to be alone; this was confirmed when I asked while picking up my order. At first glance, it was ecstatically pleasing. However, the unagi was fridge cold, the sushi rice was over cooked and/or overly doused with vinegar and any roll that included tempura was full of a soggy version of the ingredient. Overall it was a sad waste of its ingredients and I will not give this establishment a second chance.

Amazing “mom & pop” type place in the NDG neighbourhood. I randomly called on Jan. 2 and asked for a vegetarian platter of around 30-40 pieces, which was delivered to me within 1/1.5h. Shortly after paying, I got a call back from the restaurant saying they miscalculated something. The owner came back to bring me extra food! Authentic as hell! Great service, good prices & deliciously fresh sushis! Will order again FOR SURE. I wish they had IG or Facebook for me to spread the word, they deserve it!

Pros: Delicious and fresh sushi. Very reasonable prices for sushi. Very friendly staff. Cons: Slow service - We always have to order well in advance. Delivery is slow - We stopped ordering delivery, we always go pick up the food. One of my favorite sushi places in Montreal. We've been ordering here for 2 years and we'll keep ordering for a long time. The only bad thing that I could say is that the service is slow, which is understandable because it is a small mom and pop restaurant with only the owners making the sushi.

First time customer, I walked in and ordered a 36 pieces plateau, and it was ready after only 12 minutes. With that speed, I expected the sushi to be premade and reheated, or dry/jammed in a bunch. But it was moist, just melting in my mouth, and delicious. Plus, when I unpacked my bag, I saw I had a few sides as a bonus. This is now my favourite place for sushi in town.

The best sushi ever in Montreal And the price is amazing, very reasonable! I love avocado roll and spicy salmon roll as well as rainbow roll. Nice place!

I guess ordering makis at the end of a hot summer day, in a small sushi shop about to close, was not my smartest move. I'll leave it at that.

My girlfriend and I orderd there yesterday. The portions are massive so your really getting your moneys worth. And everything tastes super fresh! 100% worth checking out ill definetly be going back there :
