New Yorker in for the New Year here. Chops was an outstanding experience from beginning to end. My brother and I were going in late after a show so we called prior to place our order to go and Andrea at the front desk happily invited us to sit and enjoy. By the time we got there our apps were already placed on our table tuna tartar and salmon tacos both 10/10. Our waiter Amil was very professional and accommodating. We also ordered 3 of the special roles- probably some of the best sushi I’ve ever had including famous non kosher restaurants in NYC. The lamb chops were fresh, cooked to perfection and well seasoned. We stayed for dessert and tea- all around perfection.
Perfect service!! Melt in my mouth steak! I started with the chicken skewers - crunchy and juicy! How is that possible? I was recommended the "Grilled Korean Cap". Andrea, my server communicated expertly my steak preference of medium rare with intense searing on the outside. My expectations were exceeded. My meal was served with perfect timing, presentation enhanced my appetite, aromas and temperature made this a brilliant experience worth every penny. I will be back!!!
We were seated promptly with reservation, the appetizers and main courses both arrived in a timely manner, the main courses came sufficiently after the appetizers, good coordination. The food was delicious!! Prices were reasonable. Waiter spoke perfect clear English. We highly recommend Chops!!
Overpriced food & mediocre results. The steak was so overdone, I felt like I was eating rubber, it was inedible. As someone who works in the culinary world, I like to try new restaurants and this was a no. I felt like I could have bought this at the food court mall. The only good thing was the sushi, it was very delicious & presentation was good. The drinks were also good. Be aware that they automatically charge 18% tips. Not a fan of the waiter that kept pushing us to take the steak multiple times. He did not deserve that 18% tip, I would have given him less with how pushy he was and how he mixed up our order. If you’re willing to pay over 150 bucks for subpar food then this place is for you. Restaurants with huge random diverse menus usually don’t use fresh ingredients or just reheat their food and it tasted that way.
We had the most delicious dinner last night at Chops, and our waiter, Khan, was outstanding! He was warm, friendly and so helpful - all without hovering. One of the best meals and best service we have ever experienced. Can’t wait to come back!
Came in for lunch with a group. The restaurant was nearly empty but it still took a long time to flag down the waiter. Dishes came out one or two at a time. One dish came out, waiter was unsure whose it was, but rather than asking, he walked back to the kitchen with it. My meal was wrong; I ordered beef but got chicken for which they charge just as much. I could have complained but it was already one hour after we sat down and I had to get to work eventually. I will not be returning for lunch. They didn't have lunch specials. A burger and fries cost as much as a more exotic meal. This seems like a place to go when you have plenty of time and are willing to spend on a nice night out.
Recently had my Birthday party here. Was super impressed with how friendly and organized Andrea was. The food was amaaaaazing and Igor makes the best drinks! I'll definitely be returning for more great food and service!
This is an establishment that cheats you by offering specials without indicating the price. Waiters should indicate the cost before offering a special item. The item was a rather small steak meal for two for 350$. None of this was stated when the special was described. An establishment that serves kosher food should also tell the truth to its customers and be forward about it. Food was also not of the quality expected at a price of 350$ for a plate.
Was very disappointed by the fact that the waiter offered a special dish that he said is a shef special and did not say the price, we came just for the cocktail and desert and did not expect to spend much, we thought that the dish was only for two and it was four of us so it would not cost us so much, at the end the dish was350$ and it was way above our budget. Would not recommend this to anyone. Very very disappointed.
We came to Chops for our company party. The food and the service was top quality! We were served by a great looking server Shaaby We were a group of 20 people and Shaaby handled it like a pro! Good work guys!
