Overall, the sushi here is good, however not as great as it once was. When I am in town I will still seek it out as the “Monkey Brain” is AMAZING!! Otherwise the greatness of it has wore off with the new management that took it over. This is sad, but it gives me the opportunity to find a new place to frequent.
This place is great if your looking for a wide variety of sushi that isn't just cucumber and California rolls. This place has a wide variety of options from tempura, soup, Alberta rolls, mango rolls, and a lot more. I can say that you will at least find one dish here to satisfy your cravings. The place is very gorgeous with a Asian theme on the inside all fitting together. The staff are always very friendly and the service here is good. A nice thing about this place is that you do get your food at a good time. Every time I go there is around 4-6 pm so it isn't very busy. I will definitely continue to enjoy and come here. Vegetarian options: It's not a wide thing of vegetation options but theyre still definitely there like California rolls, miso soup, cucumber rolls, etc
This used to be my sushi place of choice in Airdrie. I was shocked and dismayed at the serious food safety violations and pest infestations identified by safety inspectors. Just picked up my order from here and this is how my sushi pizza was made... old browned avacados.... not impressed and will not be back
This place is amazing! Fresh, clean fish, cozy atmosphere, friendly staff. Get. The. Mango. Roll. I cannot stress this enough. Cool, sweet mango over warm, tempura battered shrimp. It was ridiculously good. The salmon and avocado roll was also delicious. Very mellow and fresh tasting.
We ordered on a Sunday night. The sushi was not made fresh whatsoever. We had also ordered tempura. It was disgusting. Tempura celery sticks?! Both of us were sick that night. Very disappointed and feeling ill from eating there.
We were very disappointed with the 'tempura' vegetables. Instead of tempura batter they used a doughy, thick, under cooked batter. My wife bit into a red pepper and discovered a tablespoonful of raw flour. We threw most of this order out after seeing how poorly it was made.
I stopped into this restaurant for a quick lunch on a Saturday. Even after the lunchtime rush they were other people in the restaurant, which is always a good sign. The staff were welcoming and gracious and the food was very good. The rolls were fresh and the Nori was not rubbery, so you know the sushi was freshly made. Service was fast, efficient and pleasant and the food was good. I am very glad I stopped here and will recommend it to anyone looking for a good sushi in Airdrie .
Have been here multiple times and have had excellent food and service each time. Highly recommend. If you are not a raw fish fan, then there are plenty of alternative non-fish or cooked fish alternatives. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. We are always greeted like family when we go to Sushi Haru. I love the Dynamite Roll and the Spicy Tuna Crunch roll along with the tuna sashimi.
Okay service. Restaurant looked clean but the bathrooms looked scary. When you look at the bathrooms, you can tell their hygienic standard. I should have walked out but too hungry to look for another. Big mistake. The udon was so flavorless. Pretty much water. Chicken had weird texture and color. Mayonnaise smothering it made it edible. Sushi roll was okay, but not the freshest I've had. I don't see how they have good reviews. Lots of sugar in the rice probably fooling people. Tempura was okay. I was almost angry they serve some of these to customers.
