I love Korean food and this place doesn't disappoint. They have a wide menu of classic Korean dishes, there BBQ is amazing and a lot of fun. Only down side is that the food is quite expensive, no matter the dish. I would highly recommend going with a bunch or people who love to share food and laughs.Food: 5/5
This is the worst Korean restaurant I've ever eaten at and brings shame to Korean cuisine. The sweet and sour fried pork was extremely soggy, the meat was soooo thinly sliced, and the bulk of the food was made up of the fried batter coating. The serving size is on the smaller side compared to servings from other restaurants and it is definitely not worth $24. I also ordered the Gamja tang and I can't believe they're serving this. The meat was so tough and hard to tear off the bone. Not that there was much to eat anyway. It was mostly bone. The noodles were so overcooked and waterlogged that it was triple its original size. It was as if they cooked it for the entire day before scraping it out from the bottom of the pot. The final straw is that there wasn't a single potato in the entire bowl. If you search this dish up, you'll see that every single recipe and picture has potatoes. 0/10 would never recommend.
Recently ordered the pork belly and pork dumplings. Pork belly was very bland and tasteless - with hard spots of gristle you can see in photo. Zero flavour for $25. Dumplings were also pretty tasteless. Mushroom beef bulgoki was adequate. Have paid half the $27 price tag for better at the food court. Luckily we had some good seasoning at home but this was certainly not what I expected. I love supporting local businesses but this needs to be better.
Pos: Their dumpling are never a let down. Crispy fried and large. Noodle broth is almost clear and very hearty for a cold day. Bottle water due to covid. Pancakes are rich in taste and flavourful. Cons: Prices definately went up. With two people it was almost $80 and that didn't really fill us. Reduced items available on their menu. Service is slow. Their chili fried chicken was the soggiest "crispy fried" chicken I ever had...best if they either revamp the way they make it or get rid of it. Xin makes it better. Food for thought: expensive but tasty dishes. Best to bring in a large group to share the cost. Service seems to be either very good for some or super slow for others.
The service is very good and the people is so nice. The food is good. The place has a good atmosphere.Food: 3/5
When it's hard to choose what you want to eat, try Gamjatang. Gamjatang is what you see, kimchi stew is the first soup taste, and japchae noodle is full of meat and bones, making it taste like budae stew with soybean paste. It definitely doesn't taste like Korean Gamjatang, so prepare your mind after ordering. Sura's Gamjatang, where you taste three flavors at once, will remain in your memory for a long time. I dare not recommend it to Koreans who know the taste of Gamjatang. Above all, thank you for opening during the Christmas holidays.
A bit expensive but extremely delicious!! Highly recommend getting the best cuts. Side dishes were all amazingFood: 5/5
While the food was nice, it wasn't anything amazing or out of the world. The price was a bit steep considering the amount of food you recieve. I only ordered 2 items an appetizer and a main dish, and that alone costed me well over 50 dollars. The overall experience wasn't bad, but I wouldn't return in the near future if I wanted to dine out.
We ordered form Sura through Door Dash delivery. Food was great tasting and the japchae I recommenced; however the price was just not worth it. The portion size for the spicy pork bulgogi was ridiculous. The item costs 22.45$ and the box was barely 1/3 full. The pork belly portion size was ridiculously small as well for 23$. The total costs for food was 67$ for these 3 items and no side dishes besides a small sauce cup of kimchi, so if you are looking for a place for good Korean food even slightly budget friendly, I would not recommend.
I gave 1 stars because the short-haired woman was not very friendly. After we left their restaurant, my husband told me that he heard her talking to other customers who were waiting for the table that “they eat very slow.” she pointed at us my husband saw if I saw/heard her do that to us, I would ask her some questions, which she meant, that my husband and I eat very slow. How much time that you expect customers to eat in your restaurant?!! I ordered BBQ 1 set, and we spent time eating it for about 35-40 minutes. Raw meat takes time to cook before you can eat it!!! The fact is your restaurant is very slow. We waited for you to serve our food for 20-25 minutes, but we did not even complain. Meanwhile, I noticed people who came before me were still there talking, but you did not mention about them. Before my husband and I left this restaurant, I told my husband that we should leave because I noticed customers were waiting, but I did not know that this woman talked not nice about us to other customers. I am disappointed with the way this woman treated us.
