Food is good, see below. SERVICE: The service was poor. I downgraded this rating to 2 because of the service. Our food arrived quickly but then our server ignored us for the remainder of our visit. We had finished our food and attempted to get the servers attention for our bill several times. We began checking emails and reading a book for about 20 minutes before we actually went a got them. They were sitting behind a desk near the kitchen playing a game on their phone, even as we paid with the debit machine they could stop playing their game. We will likely get take away next time. FOOD: We had the egg rice bowl and kimchi soup. It was well prepared and the flavours are complex. The result is a filling and delicious meal. We were also impressed with the offer of hot or cold water to start, which is great because we do not like the standard of ice water in most venues. This place is cozy and excellent food. The food was not too spicy, this was disappointing for us, but for most it is probably good.
The steak with the lettuce wraps is really good but the beef rice bowl is tasteless. I wonder why don't they offer plain rice with the steak. It took quite a while for the food arrive. Service was okay but not the best.
Pros: clean decor. Quiet interior. A/C in the summer. Food is fresh. Most of them are spicy and the menu will not tell you that. Just make sure you inform them that you don't like spicy food. Kim chi is free and free refill. Service is quick and food comes out in a reasonable amount of time. Service was with a smile and kept thanking us for coming. Cons: menu is limited. No hot pot. Prices are a bit on the expensive side. Parking will be a challange. Neutral:Debatable if this is actually korea food because i do taste a hint of chinese cooking. Soup is very salty but does have plenty of flavours. Picture on the menu and what you get might differ...especially the baked pork belly. The strips strunk when we got ours.
Not real Korean food. It's Chinese version of Korean food. No side dish except for kimchi and no rice either. There are authentic Korean restaurants nearby that you go.
Great little place to eat. Enjoyed the food especially the steak. Staff was super nice and friendly and helped us out when we were a bit confused about how to eat certain dishes. Best part was that they had Kpop playing. Would definitely recommend!
We had a fantastic dinner. Our wait person was so friendly and helpful-we went with her recommendations for the beef -served on heated platter and a salad with chicken, lots of vegetables and peanuts. The salad was different than anything we had ever tasted and was delicious, with many textures and tastes. I highly recommend it-I think it was called a Korean salad. The service was fast. It's a nice clean, small restaurant-full by the time we left.
This is definitely not a Korean restaurant. It is a Chinese restaurant. I went there for a late dinner with my friend and we ordered some kind of hotpot and a chicken dish with cheese on it. The food came out 30m later when there is only one another table with their food got served other than us. I tried the soup and it was very sour which means they were using old kimchi that got fermented too long in the fridge and very sweet that I could not eat at all. The potato in the soup was not even cooked that it was really hard. You also have to order a bowl of rice when the hotpot itself already little pricey. The chicken dish my friend got was the one of the expensive menus on there and it was small and cooked with old frozen chicken chunks that had a bad texture when it’s get chewed. I would not recommend to go here if you are looking for a Korean restaurant.
I ordered pork belly and wings on 09/10. I got 4-5 wings and a few pieces of bacon, not pork belly. I paid $41 including delivery fees. I'm amazed that a few pieces of regular bacon cost so much. Will never order with them again. Only positive was the delivery person was really friendly. Ham Korean, you should up your game.
Tough review to write. Have wanted to try this place for a while so came in on a Sunday evening; only customers there but not too concerned, and as a result didn't have much problem with service. Everything else was iffy... Korean restaurants don't have to offer free rice it would be nice but no worries but an authentic Korean restaurant should offer the small savory dishes kimchi, bean sprouts, pickled vegetables, etc.; this place only gave us kimchi, although it was surprisingly good. The main dishes spicy BBQ beef and a salad were ok, but most definitely NOT Korean; not even a hint of gochujang or Korean chili oil or any of the other things that define K BBQ, and the salad had an odd gritty texture that came from fried pepper. Tasted like Chinese food masquerading as Korean. Left feeling kind of unsatisfied. It wasn't bad food at all and was still relatively tasty, but I wanted Korean food so will go elsewhere next time.
It was, in a word, good. If I could do 3.5 stars, I would It's got a small menu of compelling choices. My partner and I ordered rice bowls--erstwhile known as a bibimbap. Hot and tasty, made with quality ingredients. My only quibble is that, although we ordered only 2 items, and the restaurant was nearly empty, the waitress brought our lunches same item, actually, at quite different times. Hard to eat your meal together when your lunches arrive 10 minutes apart.
