Super 8 Houghton is located right on the Waterfront. Boat Docks are located directly in front of hotel with fishing piers and grills for outdoor cooking. The Summer Gardens are spectacular. Mich Tech Univ is within walking distance and Finlandia Univ is 2 mi away in Hancock. Pool, Sauna and Whirlpool. Free High Speed Wireless Internet. In winter you may snowmobile from the property. Fall color in the Keweenaw Peninsula is just spectacular. A must see.

A bit outdated on the decorating but absolutely beautiful location. Very nice workers, clean pool, hot tub, & sauna. Breakfast was good, I love that they keep the coffee and microwave accessible 24 hours. Absolutely beautiful view from patio. Lots of places to walk around. I felt very safe in this town and at the hotel.nNot pet friendly but I have a service dog and had no issues.nI will be back the next time I need to visit my son at college
A good value in a good location. Right along the waterway and easy access to a walking/bike path. Close enough to town to walk to restaurants. Room was clean and modern and very well lit, one of the criteria I judge a room by. Comfortable sitting area in my 1-King room. The breakfast selection was among the best I've ever seen.
We come here every summer for about 20 years to stay while working on my old family farm. The location is perfect. The view is unbeatable and they have little docks and benches to enjoy the waterfront. It’s a great location to be able to walk downtown. The staff is always friendly and the rooms clean. The ONLY time we had a minor issue was when we stayed once in October and the ROTC from tech ran past our window at five AM on the trail chanting on their morning run That is not the hotels fault, nor can it be avoided, but heads up! Will continue coming
Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. When we had any problem.woth the room it was taken care of immediately. Location was beautiful. Loved being able to go on the deck and sit and look at the lake whenever the mood suited.
The rooms were clean and good with no bad smell to them, with a TV and fridge. The breakfast was good and has waffles, breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, juice, and more. There was also coffee available all day. The pool was clean and quite big. The hot tub was also clean. There are vending machines available both at the lobby and upstairs, which has a good selection of drinks. There is also an ice machine, which is free to use. Overall, it was a very good experience and would consider coming here again
