This is such a wonderful hotel, the interior is absolutely breathtaking. It reminds me of being in the woods in a log cabin. It's such a homey feeling place. Rustic, beautiful and peaceful. Not only is the look of the building wonderful but you also get the best view of the sunset right from outside the hotel or even from your rooms balcony. The front desk staff Ashley, she is so welcoming and happy, it's such a joy to be welcomed with such friendliness and knowledge and information of the town. Another plus, the heated pool :)

Tourism season starts here late May around Memorial Day. I decided to arrive a few days early for a conference, and didn't expect to be able to stay this close to downtown. Surprisingly, I booked at the super 8 the day of arrival Friday to depart Sunday. With very few rooms available, my room was put in the back of the hotel, closest to the pool. 2 curtained Windows open directly into views of the pool, 1 looks at the parking lot. This suits me fine, with the thin walls I can hear when guests are not in the pool 10am-10pm and open the door, turn right, and open the door to the pool. Hot tub is better described as a warm tub. I showered with extremely hot water in the tub, much hotter than the public hot tub. Location is walking distance to everything. Sheplers ferry service to Mackinac Island is about 10 minutes by foot. I left for the day, kept the car in the hotel parking lot and walked back. 2 lighthouses are very close by. Old Mackinac lighthouse is across the street, McGulpin is a 10 minutes drive. Hotel staff are accommodating, Continental breakfast is free. Nothing is prepared, but if you want to pour your waffles in the waffle maker, try it. Great pricing, I spent less per 2 nights than a night at another establishment. The outside looks like a giant log cabin. For very reasonable, efficient accommodations this is the place to be

Nice hotel, good prices, great views of the bridge! The rooms could use some remodeling to bring them into this century! The carpets could use some more cleaning and shampooing, but the beds and furniture were clean and well maintained. The woodwork is great giving it a log cabin look. It is easy walking distance to the ferries and downtown Mackinaw City. I would recommend it, but you get what you pay for!

The location is quite nice being close to the bridge but far enough away that you don't hear any road noise. There is a really nice park across the street with a great view of the straight and bridge. The rooms are dated but acceptably clean. The shower had some mildew issues but honestly, it is a super 8. For the price, it is worth it. Continental breakfast had waffles, cereal, juice, bread with toaster, apples, etc... Coffee was fine. All in all a good value for staying the night and getting the free breakfast. Would not stay here if the location wasn't ideal (which it was for us. On our way up to the UP with a great view of the bridge near the hotel).

4/30/18. Clean, quiet, and cheap. It’s low season so the complimentary breakfast was served at the Hamilton.
