I recently attended an engagement party at the Sunbury Oromocto Park and Campground, and I was absolutely blown away! The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly.nnThe location is stunning such a beautiful, peaceful spot with amazing scenery. Everyone was so accommodating, making it a truly enjoyable experience for all of us. We are so lucky to have this gem in our area! I’m already looking forward to going back, soaking up all the fun workshops, and having an amazing vacation. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a perfect getaway!
As an avid camper who visits many parks. This is one of the best parks I have been to in the lower part of the province. Friendly staff, new owners are taking over and giving the park a facelift as well as more updates. Very accommodating and knowledgeable. They are still learning and open to suggestions which you don't get other places. I see this park becoming a 5 start review once again
SOPC is one of the most welcoming, homey-feeling, campgrounds I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing! & being able to enjoy all of the amenities without having to be a camper is a major perk! Concerts, outdoor sports, markets, and even being able to rent some of the parks space as a local venue for birthday, anniversary, work parties, etc. is so great.nI would recommend SOPC to absolutely anyone for camping and even summertime day trips!
I had an AMAZING experience hosting my Dad's 60th birthday at the park!! We were able to use some beach area, the gazebo and field to make the day-long event transition from day to evening to night so nicely. Park staff were so accommodating and friendly and the experience getting this booked and solidified was seamless! I would 100% recommend this space for any event, whether you're hosting a birthday, reunion or even a wedding! A stunning backdrop with the willow trees throughout the field and colourful flower bushes scattered throughout, this space doesn't require much decoration at all! My Dad and his guests were so happy with the turnout.
Nice location, quiet, no main roads nearby. Nice breeze off of lake cools down nicely in evenings. Small sandy “beach” area while most of shoreline is 3-6” rocks. Water is nice to swim in although a little brown. Campground could use some maintenance, paint and updating, but site services work well. Showers are free and you can control your own temperature and no coins are needed. Decent little play area for kids. Overall a nice spot. Some weird charging policies, such as 6$ for visitors which is I guess to stop, I don’t. Know what, and $15 to dump you black tank which is apparently if the staff does it for you, aimed at full time residents. In the rules they tell you to read carefully it seems the charge is an additional fee, but it is not. Wifi is good.
