Relatively neat, not too rowdy. There's sometimes homeless people hanging around for heat but harmless. There is an area to shelter indoors in full view of the bus station
Sure, it's all stairs, and if you want, stairs. No matter the direction, you'll be greeted with stairs. I think there's something i missed. Oh yeah! Stairs! Unlike Marlborough and the other stations that run north of it, the escalators are rarely out of service. What puzzles me the most is why did Calgary build a rail system in an urban area with just two stations done right? Westbrook is the other. The rest are either blocking traffic or stifled by it and my personal fave... 17th avenue. The fake train line that not only screws up traffic with a design that rivals the stupidity of Deerfoot's curved over water bridge is a monumental fail and even better are the shops that for sure will slowly rot away just like the ones ruined on 7th downtown by a city that has no clue about how to do something right. A ring road that circles a grid... i am so embarrassed. Saddledome? How about a football stadium that spends all those days EMPTY instead of hosting large outdoor concerts because it's built inside a residential zone? No music scene thanks union, no downtown, most stores close early and they suck anyway... wait a minute. I got lost in the stairs.
As the only elevated station part of the CTrain transit network, it stands out. It's a welcome addition and has a cool look to it.
If you dont mind seeing some unfortunate people outside and inside the station then by all means. Do not go at night' by yourself might get a bit on the nerves. It is however patrolled quite well. Most of the time clean.
Nice modern elevated LRT station, quite most of the time.
