Sun Wah Supermarket

first time to go to Sun Wah supermarket to buy paper for dimsum. the guy doing cashier took his time to show me where it is displayed. He is very helpful and friendly. this will be our new store to buy groceries. Reasonable prices and we will be going back there again. thanks

Probably the oldest Chinese supermarket in Winnipeg. Very rich merchandise. You can get stuffs that you can't find in other supermarkets. Always lots of things to buy. Prices are reasonable.nnStaffs are helpful on checkouts. Sometimes you get free stuff when you exceed a payment amount.

This is the only real store chinese food store in Winnipeg. Best products but many time expired. Must carefully check every item. I highly recommend but also with reservation. Hence the tree stars. Authentic Asian restaurants do all their shopping here. However selling food that isn’t dated and other items that are a year past due date. Bought a Thai curry paste that was a year since it’s best before. Yuck. I do return. I really enjoy the fresh stuffed buns. Usually Sunday is fresh and hot deliveries.

I had an incredibly frustrating experience at this supermarket. The staff here are just unbearable, especially the ones from Hong Kong. The janitor driving that old vacuum machine acted like he couldn’t speak a word, and the cashier lady struggled with her broken English. But as soon as someone came up speaking Cantonese, she lit up like she’d found a long-lost relative! Overall, I won’t be coming back unless I absolutely have to.

A great selection of top quality produce at very reasonable prices. Staff is friendly and helpful.nI always end up getting way more than what's on my list...ha!
