I have over the years taken youth fishing for salmon. Since msny of the youth havent ever held a fishing rod its hard to ascertain what they know on how to fish. The location is in Mission its very easy to find. The lake is about half an acre probably 100ft by 100 ft. The pricing is 30$ but it gives you 3 fish each additional fish is 9$ which is fair as the trout are larger than some of the other places ive taken youth which have a greater cost. You receive a light weight rod amd reel with some worms ..the cost of the pole rental was 3/$. The youth caught 4 nice size trout in 15 min and had a great time. The best psrt is an option to pay 20$ and flyfish for 1 hr that will be awesome snd a great learning experience for a youth.
Unfortunately, I’m not impressed with the phone manners of the person I spoke with to inquire about their u-fish services. I was just politely asking how many people were included in the family admission, and he sarcastically answered, “umm, the parents and the kids??” in a VERY very sarcastic tone, like I was stupid. I did ask a few more questions but he sounded unpleasant and unfriendly. And even when my husband called the other day to ask about RV camping, he said he doesn’t seem to be interested in talking to him. We’ve never been there but I don’t think we will even try to go with this bad over the phone conversation experience.
Nice place to take kids for "FISHING". For 30$ you get 3 fish and kids can have fun. So worth it
An affordable trailer park. Trout lake is small. You have to pay for the trout you catch as they have to replenish the supply. Visitors must park in visit lot. Hard to visit anyone there. Laundry facilities. Spring seasonal flooding.
This is interesting to see , if you like trout then there is plenty and a guarantee catch , the staff is nice and the price is fair follow the rules and you can have a great time , there are amenities inside , and if need fishing gear can be supplied . It's a great place to bring the family .Playground: NoPublic restrooms: YesOff-leash dog area: NoPicnic tables: YesBarbecue grills: No
Best place to take your little ones to teach them fishing, mine was amazed! Just don't forget to count fish they catch or it'll cost you a fortune
Very nice place, nice people, and a lot of fun. At first, I went to Trout Creek Farm&Eha and regret that but later I tried Sun Valley and found them fantastic..
So relaxing, peaceful, amazing people, fishing in your own backyard.
Friendly place, active fish, easy bank, very comfortable for my son with special needs.
My bf and I came here on our way home after leaving Hicks Lake empty-handed. Bob helped us get set up and we left with 2 fish after an hour of fishing. I caught a HUGE trout but it got away after I struggled to get it up on the bank the one that got away is always the biggest, right?? We had a fun time and it's a great experience/confidence booster for those who have been trying to catch a fish at the provincially stocked lakes but have had no luck. We paid $30 for 3 fish and since we only caught 2 before they closed at 4:30pm, he gave us a voucher for 1 fish to use for next time. Thanks for providing us with a fun date activity Bob!
