Sumo Sushi and Hibachi

I & my wife went here for our 6yr anniversary, we had a ball! The food was excellent with OK portion size. The hostess was very polite & tentative. The best part was the BYOB Belaire us, please!

Party boat. Just do it. It easily fed 4 of us with the addition of one more roll. Great selection and flavors to satisfy everyone in the group. Bring along some great wine BYOB and this is a great, simple dinner option.

I got a dragon roll, and a rainbow roll. The Unagi on the dragon roll was inedible. It was chewy and grizzly, like a bad piece of steak. I literally had to take it out of my mouth and throw it in the garbage. The other roll was fine, but nothing that would make me want to come back. The service was nice, and the place looked clean. But I don’t think I would go back.

Amazing food! I had the shrimp and steak, and my boyfriend had the steak and chicken. I wanted to eat his plate and mine! Obsessed with everything here. It’s a must eat place!

I went here for a quick lunch, and they had this incredible weekday lunch special, which is a must try! I ordered their sushi and hibachi, and the taste was so refreshing. The meat was fresh, and it was cooked perfectly. They provide enough portions of everything, including the vegetables. The service that I had was consistent from the moment I stepped in until I left. The people here are very accommodating, and my food was served on time. The prices are reasonable, and everything for me is affordable. I had a great time here at the Sumo Sushi and Hibachi restaurant, and I will definitely be coming back to try out more of what they have to offer.

I had a good time here. The food was quick, the service was nice, and everything we ordered tasted good. The steak hibachi was nice. It costs a bit more than the rolls, but it came with a lot of food including soup and a salad.

The dishes we tried here were pretty darn good! We decided to do a “taste of Chicago” and try small plates throughout town. We got the gyoza and a side of fried rice- firstly the gyoza’s were AMAZING. We did ask for them to be pan fried a little longer- but they had no problems doing that for us. The side of fried rice was so yummy we were sad we didn’t order more. We loved that they give you yum yum sauce on the side with the fried rice. My only complaint was that we wanted to get a side dish of their noodles, but the server kept telling us they were spaghetti noodles.. which seemed a little odd, so we decided against that dish. Usually noodle dishes at Asian restaurants are either egg noodles, soba noodles, something similar.. I was a little confused with that. But overall great food and service!!

Excellent service, food was really good too! We will be back! Had the teriyaki chicken and it was amazing.!!!

Well let's start with the shrimp and asparagus sushi roll was horrible. And then my wife found a massive hair in her hibachi. I complained about our roll amd then showed them the hair. And they didnt offer any discount at all... the place seemed nice but food wasnt worth the price. Do we will necer go there again... my wife literally push her plate aside and almoat got sick.. the staff could have done something and didnt.. i felt dirty looks when we walked in.. im tattooed and look like we dont have cash or knkw good good. Byt in a chef and definitely was disrespect by staff, and felt the sushi chefs tried to pull a fast one, they used 1 shrimp tail for the entire roll... And tried telling me it was 3 pueces pf tail.. we will never go there every agin

I went here with a friend on a whim because either the other places we tried were closed or they didn't serve us. This was a nice change of pace after that because the staff was very attentive and nice. They did check back on us a little too frequently for my liking but I rather have that than not being checked on at all. The lunch specials give a lot of food for your money so come hungry. The food was pretty good. The only problems I had was that the salmon skin maki was too tough to eat and the I couldn't really taste the eel in the unagi maki. I really liked the orange at the end. It was a nice and refreshing surprise. I would come back here for lunch.
