Story

At Summerhay's Bar& Grill all items are made fresh to order. Serving Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Our desserts are all made in house and Chef Tony will also create a bake of the day. Also we now have Gluten Free options to choose from.

We seat 245 people indoors and 110 people on the outdoor patio. We have two parking lots available in the front and back of the restaurant. We also take reservations and have a private event room for all your special occasions that seats up to 42 guests.

I just came back from breakfast here! I have visited this restaurant many times over the years, as a kid, in university for student breakfast, and after with my own family. I have always had exceptionally friendly service, and tasty food in large portions! Today I brought my two kiddos and my Dad for a special family day long weekend treat, as we have done VERY, VERY little dining out during the last two years. The staff bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed for our kiddos including anticipating our needs by bringing us the bill and take-out boxes before we even had ask for them. They were very, very friendly. Service was fast AND the food wasn’t too hot! I know this might have been a negative for some, but I always struggle at restaurants, because my kids are very picky about the temperature of their food and it can be hard for them to be patient for it to cool down when they are SO hungry. Our server was exceptionally good, friendly, thoughtful, and attentive. I am sorry I didn’t catch her name, but she was wearing a black mask with silver sequins! Thank you to her in particular!!!
Loved grilled chicken, the server was very polite and kind. Only disappointment was calamari which seemed undercooked. Apart from there overall good experience would definitely recommend for casual ambience with decent drinks and food.
Ordered the fab chicken burger. Tasty burger. Perfect fries and good portion size. Extra points for ensuring that my fries didn't go soggy after packing. The place is a bit dark and dingy but had a friendly vibe with the fireplace and the game turned on.
Such a great place. Huge portions. The menu looked so interesting but we just had nachos and chicken quesadilla. Quesadilla was really good and cheesy. Nachos seemed a bit dry, I would suggest to add some topping like liquid cheese because normal cheese becomes hard after some time but still it was delicious. We tried both the cheese cakes and the blueberry one was just amazing.
One of my favourite place in Ottawa. For all the wings lover out there this is your place. Very happening and chill place. Staff is also very cooperative. Close by Algonquin college so it’s a great place to hangout for students. Do checkout there daily offers and happy hours. They also have a great menu for desserts.
Everything I’ve had here has been fantastic been 5 or 6 times in the last couple months and never been disappointed. Very good food with very competitive pricing. Love this spot. Great kids menu as well.
Me and my buddy have been coming here for breakfast for a couple of years now. Staff are friendly and eggs are always cooked properly. I always have the standard breakfast reasonably priced.
This place has a large patio, a great selection for drinks and good food. We have come here often through the years. The waps were pretty bad on the patio though.
I've always enjoyed breakfast here the few times I've had the chance. Yesterday was no exception. Breakfast was perfectly made, they know how to scramble eggs properly. It is hard to find somewhere that does this. The server was attentive and kept my coffee hot. I'm going again this morning and hope to have the same experience. Parking: Lots of parking available
Service was alright, they were busy. Food was pretty sad. I mean they didn't really try as you can see. I ordered the breakfast poutine with sausages. The sausages were just thrown on top, the cheese wasn't melted. Hollondaise sauce wasn't really that warm. Home fries were old tasting. Surprised this place is still alive being so close to allo mon coco tbh.
